There is at least 3" on my pier. We didn't take a tape or ruler to measure so can't be precise. But the most interesting thing has been watching the neighborhood dogs walk across the lake on the ice. One went chasing a pair of poop machines aka geese until he fell through. The water was only a few inches deep but he quickly decided he didn't need those poopers after all.

I see you have the same system I do.  I really like the Arlo camera's and the ability to check out my house from afar and have motion sensors in case someone decides to come in uninvited.  I also have my HVAC and front door connected via Nexia so I can set the thermostat and open/close the front door remotely.  It's nice to turn down the AC before I get there and if I forget to set it before I leave it is no problem.  Technology today can be really great.

It looks to me like we got about an inch here.  But there problem seems to be the ice under the snow.  There was an emergency alert this morninng that the Police/sheriffs are asking people to stay off the roads. Roads in Elmore, Coosa and Tallapoosa have been declared impassible and as I understand it, that leaves your insurance company open to refusing your claim if you get in an accident.

It's bad enough on a sunny summer day. Can't image with snow and ice

Yes indeed.  We are here full time so just use the cameras for security purposes.  Can tell when deliveries made, etc.  As long as the batteries are good.  What do you find to be the best batteries?

Best batteries are lithium but they are crazy expensive. I tend to buy Duracell batteries off amazon. Way cheaper than the store.
