You and I must read the Forum differently. Whenever I open a thread, I hit View Entire Thread and it lists each post in chronological order. I find it a waste of time trying to go through a long tread to find a rececnt addition to a long thread. It is not too difficult to associate a post responding to a previous post. These posts are not written by rocket scientists.

Do you know how some posts are posted to the far Left with a Green Dot?

That's a good question.  When I go onto the forum I see all the posts in a list under a topic.  However, I have to click on a specific post to see the content.  I don't see the show entire thread option although I know I used to see that.  Maybe a Mac/iPad thing?  You frequently respond to one post under another which now makes me wonder if there is a difference in what you are seeing from me.  Kind of strange.

Here is what I see. I am using an Apple laptop. When I hit View All, it opens all of them as I said earlier in chronological order. Makes it real easy to read.

I just did 2 tests. If I open an individual post as you do and respond, it will appear under the post.  If I hit view all and do the samething, it will place it below the last post in chronological order.

I am doing quite well dude, after all, you seem to find and read everything I post. What more could I ask for???????? Now, move on so MM and Goofy can have a civil discussion.

That is very strange on two fronts. I do not see the view entire thread bar on my iPad or Mac. And the misplaced replies are also strange.  Are you on a Mac or Windows machine?

Different browsers even on the same OS will behave slightly different. For instance I use Firefox Browser an an old android and I can't cut and paste into a message.  Aggrevating at times but not intolerable.

I am using a MacBook Chrome Browser and Google Search

I use the same computer of browser and I do not get the View Entire Thread bar.  I used to on prior computers but not for a long time.  At least that explains the misplaced replies.  I see that occasionally with others but more so from you.

It's just not there unless I am doing something wrong.  This is what my screen shot looks like.

Looks like your viewing all the topics it does not show up for me there either.

when you go into a thread is where it shows for me -  this is under classic view if it helps.

Yep, that was it.  I needed to click on the first post and then it shows up.  Will be interesting to see if using that option causes my posts to be misplaced like Goofy's.  Will test that.

Doubt it, as with the below when in view entire thread mode it has a reply next to each message.  Now on this one I clicked yours and if it puts it in the correct location then its just GFY being click happy and not worrying about who/what he is responding to.

This is a reply to the original post under the view entire thread setting.  And it posted in the right place.

Your test shows in chronological order. The question is to get it to post to an earlier post. I think I have solved the mystery.

When you post like I do with View All open, it will always appear as the last post.

If you post like you do in response to a post BEFORE View All is open, it will appear where you posted it. NOTE time of my post...

Your response is not at the end but in the correct location to a response to a MM post in the normal view which he says is what he normally uses.  In the view all it shows by date/time not by thread and puts yours at the bottom of the list - not sure how helpful that would be if there are multiple discussions under one topic as it would all get jumbled up, but to each his own.

One other thing I noticed in the view all thread - some images dont show up.  Trump with the two infants did, but MM, GFY and my image uploads do not.  Assume it shows links to images hosted on other websites but not those that were uploaded to the LakesOnline website.  Dont know why just appears to be either a glitch or oversght in the coding or possibly a conspiracy.
