There was what sounded like the Shootout at the OK Corral around 10 PM tonight. Sounded like it might have come from the Needles Eye area or in that direction.  Anyone know what it was?

That was the first thing I thought, but it started out with a round every four or five seconds, then over a period of a couple minutes but increased in number until at one time it sounded like someone was firing the 30 mm Gatling gun from an A-10 Wart Hog.  After the shooting stopped we heard in the distance what sounded like angry shouting.

Coon hunters?  Or someone illegally shooting deer using night vision?  Or maybe just some idiot shooting.  I understand that some think it is fun to shoot across the lake.  Nothing in today's paper, so it likely wasn't a murder.
