The sun was shining and it was a glorious day after seeing the Cheatriots lose last night.  My favorite moment was the shot of the field with Gronkowski wandering around with a dazed look on his face and him thinking, "Wait a second, what is going on here?  We were told by Belicheat and Kraft that this was in the bag, the NFL head office would never let us lose."  So I guess we have to look at Tom Brady for at least another 3 years as he claimed before the game that he was good for another two Super Bowls.

When the Iggles scored with over two minutes left I said that they would need a turnover as there was no way they could stop the Cheatriots from scoring and viola......Brady is stripped for a fumble.  That was the second high point of the game.

Do not understand the mindset of hey we lost/won lets go destroy a city, break other peoples stuff, flip, kill or damage things.  It is sad that you have to protect your property from people over a game.

Did you see the SNL skit about the Super Bowl?  It was set during the revolutionary war with people from NE and Philly.  At the end the guy asked if there was any chance both could lose.  It was semi-funny and probably captures the moment.  Poll before the Super Bowl only had 16% pulling for NE.  And those were of course centered in NE and amazingly Minnesota.  I know they lost to Philly in the NFC championship game but man, pulling for NE?!?!?

My fav moment was seeing James Harrison walking off the field in defeat brushing confetti off his uni.

Knew with all those people in the street there would be trouble.  I guess they believe that destroying other people's property is a legitimate form of celebration, but I don't get it.

That was a highlight for me as well.  The other was Gronkowski wandering around with a dazed look on his face.  I need to watch the Pittsburgh Dad video as I am sure it will be funny.

Martini, while I realize your opinion will never be swung, I would like anyone who has more of an open mind take a look at this video regarding the Patriots cheating history

Last nights game ended differently than I hoped, but the team that played nearly flawless football, at least offensively, won.  With the parity driving salary cap and defections of both coordinators, it will be a little tougher for the Patriots to get back to the Bowl next year but I expect them in the hunt in January.

Oh don't get me wrong, the Patriots are a great organization, Belichick is a great coach and Tom Brady is easily the most successful QB to play the game (better than Montana, Bradshaw, etc.). Part of it is his longevity but no doubt he works like a dog to stay physically capable of playing the game way longer than most QBs can.  Would I rather have him as QB rather than Ben?  You bet.  Although with our offensive line over the last ten years I am not sure whether he would still be playing.  It's only because Ben is a physical beast that he is still walking.

As for the cheating, it may be true or not but as a Steeler's fan I am going with the former only because I am bitter that we can't seem to beat them, at least in the modern era. :-)  I also thought the deflate issue was complete BS.  As for the taping issue, I think that there is probably some merit to the allegations but there's also a lot of disinformation and it was very much overwrought.  They were probably stretching the rule and they may have stolen signals but even if they did, I haven't seen any evidence that it changed the outcome of the games.

I just like to abuse the Patriots, especially since they will more than likely match the Steeler's 6 Super Bowl wins in the near future.  So fear not, my abuse is mostly just good, clean fun.  Either way, I am glad they lost especially after last year's trip to the Super Bowl and seeing them come back to beat the Falcons.  Like I said in another post (I think), the Patriots fans never lost hope and that says a lot.  I am sure this year was the same but the Eagles kept scoring and that was all the difference.

Toomers trees both poisioning and burning would argue that while the damage may be smaller, but football fans are football fans and regional vs national does not stop stupid people from doing stupid things.

While these are college - not all are football win/loss related and just a reason for stupid people to riot.

Did we notice that no one, on either side, took a knee during the National Anthem?  I noticed that some covered their eyes, but everyone stood.  Can the NFL finally be getting some intestinal fortitude or did they wake up to the fact that this was hurting their pocketbooks?

The two teams stood to honor their names... Eagle and Patriots. Think the Redskins and Vikings might have kneeled?

thanks for the reply.  I didn't realize you were a Pittsburgh fan.  Growing up, near Boston, while the Patriots were horrible, the Steelers were my 2nd favorite team.  I had a Franco jersey.  In the end, sports are about breaks from the reality of life.  In today's world there is more overlap unfortunately.  A few of the local sports talk radio guys have a saying they repeat often, "greatest thing about sports?  it isn't scripted and anything can happen."  Living in Atlanta for 27 years, going through last years game was tough.  I am a fan of both teams and while wishing the best for the Falcons, wanted the Patriots to win.  How it went down was tough on the city and the city's reputation.

I was more disappointed with the Falcons performance this season than the Patriots ultimate loss to the Eagles.

Hope spring hits soon and we all can enjoy the water again.

I have a whole, working brain and see your post as an infantile attempt to slam others based on a team name.  It could be a miserable attempt at humor that obviously fell flat on its face, but in either case it was inappropriate.
