Florida stone crab season ends May 15 and I want some crab of any species in the next two weeks.  Does anyone have a suggestion? I found canned crab meat for $58/pound but I would rather eat fresh.

If you're looking for fresh Alaskan King Crab, please go to www.great-alaska-seafood.com. I found them last year on a fishing trip to Alaska. It's not cheap, but it's fresh and shipping is included in the price. You order it one day, it ships the next day and you receive your order the next day via FEDEX overnight. I've ordered salmon, cod, octopus and King Crab legs and I'm pleased with every ordered. Good luck and let me know what you think.

?Where are you on the lake?

I am off of lake Martin now at Murphy Lake on the south side; about 3 miles west of the new Baptist Church on Hwy 50. My wife ordered some crab that will be arriving tomorrow.

I never had a bad meal at Peace River crab house in Punta Gorda, FL.  Kind of far for a day trip. 

My order arrived a day early.  It was two 8 oz. crab cakes that are half crab meat and one pound of lump crab meat.
