And guess what...the 2d amendment guarantees your right to bear arms...it does not guarantee the right to have unlimited access to ammo, or to not have a requirement for a license attached to ammo purchase, or that ammo will not be subject to taxation.  None of these actions would change your right to own a dame gun but Katy bar the door if anybody suggests any of them be implemented! 

Maybe we should allow the 5th to have a tax/permit.  Just think of the money the US treasury could make off of politicans and criminals!

Due process permits?  Voting permits/poll taxes?  Relgion permits?  Speedy Trial/move to the front of the line permit?

Anyone else have some good ideas of which amendments / rights should have control/tax/permits??  The debt could be paid off quickly!!!!

They only like amendments they like and want to abridge those they don't.  No one argues that there can't be limitations on each of the amendments but what people don't get is that they don't create a right.  The amendments affirm certain rights and constrain the government from unreasonably limiting those rights.  Any abrigdgement of those rights has to be limited, reasonable and prudent.  What the left wants vis-a-vis the 2nd is none of those. 

I do like the idea of poll tax.  It would be the end of the Democrat party as they would lose the illegals, multiple votes...heck, half or more of their constituency.

Not saying that the rights are unlimited, but he specified taxes and permits as a limitation.

No, but I damn sure would pay out of pocket to make sure some liberal dumba$$ is not elected and I doubt EBT would be accepted at the polling stations.  Maybe they can go do some welfare fraud with their EBT cards to get the actual cash required.

OK - pretty sure that Alabama does not send out checks anymore.  Most "welfare" is handled through a debit card ( EBT ) vs here have a check you can deposit in your account and go by your right to vote, smokes and liquor.  

So to get the money from the EBT card, food stamps, WIC, SNAP - how are they going to convert that to purchase a non-food item other then selling them to someone at the corner store through wait for it... welfare fraud.... 

Glad you support the 2nd just without any assault weapons or semi autos or anything more then 10 shots etc like the rest of the lefties or you would not be so tickled about those so called controls.

They want to do some background checks and keep the mentally deranged from having guns, so be it, see look I am for some "reasonable controls as well" 

tax ammo out of the reach of common people, or lots of permits or other  stupid rules that will do nothing to keep azzholes from killing people.  No - all that does is cause issues for law abiding citizens.

I remember Bill Clinton when he passed his assault weapons ban, by naming the AR-15, first thing happened was woopsie lets rename the gun to something else, or Smith and Wesson with the SW-15.  Oh and lets make sure a bayonet lug is what makes something illegal or barrel shrouds.  well the WWII 03-A3 has a wooden barrel shroud and a lug.  

Why can we not just make it illegal to commit crimes.. that would fix it all.

If Alabama handles MOST welfare with an EBT card, how does it handle the rest of welfare paymets? EBT is used for FOOD. Cash to live on is paid by check. That will enable the poor to pay for their poll tax after they cash their welfare check.

Now lets see of these which one is going to cut you a check to spend any way you want.

Alabama Medicaid Agency - probably going to pay the dr not you

ALL KIDS - probably not cutting you a check

Alabama Department of Human Resources, Food Assistance Information  - check? probably not

Department of Mental Health  - you might want to look into this one but the payment would go to the Dr.

Immunization Programs - nope

Clinics and health care provider services - payment will go to the provider

Alabama WIC program - no check involved - either a EBT or voucher.  

TANF Welfare in Alabama  " the state of Alabama, recipients of family assistance are provided with temporary cash payments via an EBT debit card."

Subsidized child care - payment does not go to you but the provider.

Family Assistance Program - some short term payments - so here you have a little bit of "cash" available to a small portion of the state of alabama welfare.  Any type of temporary cash assistance pay for the basic needs for low income families in Alabama with children under age 18 or 19.

Short-Term Employment Services  - get a job, get money - not exactly welfare.

so 1 program out of many and only with kids under 18/19 - so you are the confused dumbazz as I wrote "MOST WELFARE DOES NOT GIVE YOU CASH TO DO WHAT YOU WANT" They have done this because of WELFARE FRAUD, They went to EBT because people would spend $1 food stamps on a 25 cent pack of gum 6-7 times to get the change since 1 dollar was the smallest bill for food stamps so that the could by a pack of smokes. 

Most welfare does not cut you a check.  Do you honestly believe people with housing assitance is getting the check mailed to them or the landlord? Do you think that they write you a check so you can foward it on to medical or childcare providers?  Hell no.

Keep doubling down idiot.  You can call me confused on this one, but you are wrong. 

Go enjoy your final 4 and take the dingy out for some fishing - you need the break to get your mental health back in order.

Logan is still low for winter levels, be a bit before I put the boats back in and have some yard work to get done before the lake comes up so I can enjoy the water when it is ready.

Be careful drinking and boating the state troopers dont care for it too much.
