Expect a big rally in the markets if China actually follows through on the speech by Xi Jinping.  If they do it will be another example of Trump winning.  China had way more to lose in a trade war with the U.S. than we do since as Trump rightly pointed out, we are already losing to the tune of $500 billion per year.  China needs access to our markets because their economy is based on those sales.  Xi realizes his rule for life won't mean much if their economy tanks.  The key to these discussions is eliminating the theft of intellectual property and technology.  

I remain skeptical that something substantive will actually happen because in Chinese culture lying is not only acceptable but expected.  But at least there has been some initial indication that they are willing to talk.  Keep the pressure on and maybe something will happen that will level the playing field.  And apparently the NAFTA renegotiation is going well and now the UK wants to enter into a trade agreement with the U.S.

But hey, vote for Democrats to take over the House and they will destroy this economic progress because the President will be wasting his time dealing with a ridiculous impeachment.

could ?/ possibly ?/ Trump's threat on China tariffs be nothing more than a smart negotiating tool ? hey China--i'll forget the tariffs if you get rocket man under control ?? maybe just maybe
