"Through a combination of spending increases and tax cuts, the White House and the GOP-led Congress have greatly expanded the budget deficit since Trump was elected.

The government spent $3.98 trillion and brought in $3.32 trillion in revenue last year, leaving a deficit of $665 billion, according to the Congressional Budget Office. The deficit this year is projected to widen to $804 billion and then hit $981 billion in 2019. In 2020, the government will record deficits that exceed $1 trillion annually unless changes are made.

With rising interest rates, higher debt levels can prove incredibly costly. Republicans railed about government spending during the Obama administration, but they have been torn since Trump took office, as he has largely shown an indifference to spending restraint.

Last week, as aides prepared the package of spending cuts to offer Congress, Trump was demanding more spending, for example, to build a wall along the Mexico border."

Where did you read/hear that Trump wants to cut money from the CHIPS program?

Clearly Melenia has no control over what her husband says or does.  But I think these children's issues are importatant to her.  Trump and Melenia are two different people, with different concerns and different ideas.  Malenia is a Mom and I am sure she worries about these things for her son and his peers.  If more adults paid attention to their children, there would not be so much bullying on social media.

Yet another stupid meme masquerading as news.  I would suggest you actually look at what she is focusing on before you tie her intitiative with the reduction in funding to CHIP.  Here is what she is really talking about.

The first lady said early on that she would focus on child well-being. The goal of her public awareness campaign is to encourage parents and other adults to teach children how to be good citizens, including being kind, not bullying on social media or anywhere else, staying away from drugs and taking care of themselves.

The campaign will focus on the issues of well-being, social media and opioid abuse, she said.

"If we truly listen to what our kids have to say, whether it be their concerns or ideas, adults can provide them the support and tools they need to grow up to be happy and productive adults who contribute positively to society and their global communities,"

Imagine the concept, parents taking responsibility for teaching their children to be good citizens, to not cyberbully, to stay away from drugs, etc.  Nowhere does she advocate for government to be the focus of this effot because she actually believes in personal responsibility.  More and bigger government is the left's only answer to anything.

I know, kids are going to do drugs and cyberbully because of the reduction in CHIP, yet another government program rife with fraud and waste. Think critically here and do more than repost some left wing nut's fake news.  Leave that for the intellectually vacuous and think for yourself.

EDIT:  I would also be remiss if I didn't point out that the $15B he cut was unspent funds from programs that expired two decades ago, not from current funding of CHIP.  But hey, don't let reality get in the way of a stupid, lying meme.  Liberals are just so dumb.

You rant and rave about increased government spending under President Trump. Why don't you place the blame where it belongs?  The increase is a result of you Democrats doing nothing to implement the will of the people, thus requiring President Trump to give in to more elaborate spending to preclude a government shutdown. The "fake" news that is being provided by almost all news media has become "sickening". There is absolutely nothing worthwhile to watch on any of the "major" news networks. If you want to talk about a bunch of people being paid for doing "nothing" you don't have to look too far. There is certainly no need for anyone to go to college to learn their "modus operandi"!

Okay, so I googled it and this is what I found.  Trump wants to reduce funding to CHIPS by $7B over 2 years, as well as cuts to Medicaid.  This is his proposal for the 2019 and 2020 budget years.  But let's remember, what is proposed and what actually gets done are two completely different things.  People proposed all kinds of things for the budget, but what comes out at the end is completely different.  My take on this is that Trump is proposing these cuts, knowing that they will be unpalatable to Democrats and a lot of Republicans, because he wants the money for his wall.  I suspect he is hoping by proposing cuts to these programs, will lead to additional compromises on wall funding.  Because at the end of the day, no one is going to cut funds for children's health.

Actually all he is cutting is money apportioned for programs that were never executed or have expired.  It's not an actual cut to the current program.
