But looking at that website will seriously lower your IQ.  But if you are looking for confirmation that your TDS is justified that's the place to go.

Sorry it doesn't work. But you can hi-light it and easily get it that way. The site does lean left, but it's legit and I don't want to debate the legit site....I didn't see anything that wasn't factual (except Trump's statements). I just don't understand how you Trump supporters can tolerate the outright lies. I know I asked before (and not especially you), but would any of you put up with those lies from your spouse or children? Why is it OK from our president? I just don't get it!

Just like we tolerated "8 years with no scandals", "not a smidgen of corruption"," most transparent administration in history", and the whopper "if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor".

Now, let's see how long it takes for the Trumpistas on this forum to come back and refute with authentication the claims made in this article point by point.  Warning...don't hold your breath!

The comment section says all one need to k own about that site. 2-3 TDS rants and a link to a get  rich quick scam. Repeat.

We take him seriously but not literally, libturds take him literally but not seriously.

My favorite on the list of whoppers was he said the Empire State Building took a year, but it took 13 months so he is a big fat liar. Laughable.

First of all, given that this is a liberal leaning site, do we know that anything in that article is true?  Or is it skewed to what the writer believes (or wishes) Trump had said?

Second of all, Nancy Pelosi is from California.  A lot of cities in California have decided that they want their cities to be sancturary cities.  Think about this - cities that want to harbor illegal immigrants, who have circumvented our immigration system.  It's not like we don't have immigration laws in place.  It's just that Trump wants to see them enforced and he wants to send those here illegally back.  I can't see anything wrong with that.  Why should they get a pass and a cut in line, because they cheated.  I had a friend whose family immigrated here as political refugees.  They had to have a place to live, jobs willing to hire them, background checks and all kinds of hoops they had to jump through to get here.  So why do Mexicans, Central Americans get a pass?  Why can't they come legally. Do you think that if I illegally immigrated somewhere, say Canada, that they wouldn 't deport me?  Have you ever looked at the immigration requirements for Canada?  In addition to that, do you ever listen to the things Nancy Pelosi says?  She may have power in Congress, but the woman talks like an idiot.

Trump has started "building the wall". he has plans and he has ask Congress for the money.  He didn't get the money he wanted, but I have a feeling before it is all done, he will get the money, even if he has to with hold money for social programs.  And will Mexico pay for the wall? I doubt they will write us a check, but they owe us money, they have money invested in the U.S. - what makies you think that at some point that money won't be seized, because they can't control their emigation problems?  We seized Iraian money when they took of Embassy employees hostage.

As far as our popularity in the world - do you really think the world operates on a popularity contest?  Most countries act in their own self interest - only the U.S has had this odd belief that we have to "help" everyone.  We already tried to establish a Democracy in Iraq and you see what happened there.  Colin Powell told GWB that if he broke it, he bought it.  Well, he broke it and we've been paying for it ever since.  When Iran seized our Embassy employees, not everyone in Europe suddenly took a hands off approach to Iran.  Some had trading relationships with them, had business relationships with them.  That didn't stop becasue of what happened to the U.S.  We need to re-examine some of our relationships with other countries.  Trump is right when he says we sign agreements that have no teeth in them and that they don't protect American's interests  I've been in some international negotiations and he's absolutely right.

Do I like everything he says? No, but I respect that he is trying to fulfill his campaign promises, which is more than Obama did - and I bought his promises of change and hope.

Never once in 8 years did I hear you express any concern about the lies of Obama that actually had an impact on our lives.  Politicians lie.  That's a sad fact of life and is a bipartisan reality.  You don't like Trump's lies because you don't like what Trump is doing.  You didn't care about Obama's lies, his use of federal agencies to punish his political opponents and so on because you liked what he did.  When you can point me to your angst over Obama telling us that we can keep our doctors and every family will save $2,500 on their health insurance maybe I'll take your faux angst seriously.  Until then it's just another case of TDS.

Meanwhile Trump keeps moving ahead with fulfilling his campaign promises and for that I am grateful.  All this other stuff is noise because what he is doing matters way more than what he says.  And what he is doing is overall beneficial for the country, including you liberals.

"When you can point me to your angst over Obama telling us that we can keep our doctors and every family will save $2,500 on their health insurance maybe I'll take your faux angst seriously."  OK dude....Obama told a lie...

Now, can you point your angst over Trump telling us how he was going to pass a better plan which would be cheaper with lower deductibles? He never proposed such a plan to Congress. Did he lie?

No he didn't lie.  He can't do everything at once and it takes Congress to act.  Thet have put an end to the individual mandate and there are a number of proposals to repeal and replace Obamacare but without having enough votes in the Senate to get to cloture there is only so much that can be done.  But lying about the impact of Obamacare which has hurt so many Americans is far worse than not being able to accomplish something because of the obstruction of Dem Senators.  You'll have to do better than that andif you don't see the difference you are a lost cause.

you are still whistling past the grave yard.  Your most telling words, to  paraphrase, "is this something he really said or something the liberals wish he said?"  Hound, he said it and lots more in front of thousands of people and it was live broadcast on TV and Internet!  Yes dammit, he said it!

Okay, he said it.  That doesn't change anything else I said.

Let me expand on one other point.  MS-13.  I lived in Northern VA where there was a MS-13 presence.  You see, the El Salvadoran are animals.  They commit crimes and they kill people.  They kill their own people - girlfriends for cheating on them, for cooperating with the police, and to get into the gang.  They don't have a redeeming social value, and the other Hispanic people around them are afaid of them.  You see, gangs are a way of life in Central America.  MS-13 is not the only one, but they are the most violent.  But the others are not exactly fine upstanding citizens either.  They commit crimes, they fight, they move into an area and ruin it for the residents. They came during the big building boom in Northern VA.  They work as common laborers.  They send their funds back to their relatives in Central America.  They don't pay taxes, they don't even spend their money here.  Most of their money is wired back to family in Central America.  I've seen it first hand.  A lot of time they hang around convenience stores, waiting for someone to hire them as day laborers.  Why would we want them in our country?  Why do people on the west coast want to give them sanctuary?  They have no desire to become American citizens.

Hell yea he lied. Get you head out of the sand.

"Trump repeatedly has made is that his health plan will lower costs. In January, for example, President-elect Trump told the Post that his plan would include "lower numbers, much lower deductibles."

How does that differ from keep your doctor and lower deductibles???????

If that were the plan that the GOP proposed, the Dems would have supported it.

He lied and your nose is growing dude.....damn it's getting HUGEEEEEEEEEEEEE and size does matter.....

Get your head out of your nether regions.  Has his plan been implemented?

He never proposed it once he won. You can't implemet if all you do is promise it. He left it up to Mitchieeee. There is no way to reduce the rates, reduce deductibles, and keep pre exisiting. Only deplorables believed it. Deploables are just gullible...Trump says I can tell them anything and they will believe it. And, he is right....

So you went from Trump lied because the plan he proposed didn't work out to Trump lied because he hasn't yet implemented his plan and now Trump lied because he left it up to Sen. McConnell?!?!?  Goofy, you are just plain old goofy sometimes.  I am not going to give you another civics lesson because the last few have not gotten absorbed through your TDS-addled brain cells.  But suffice it to say that the legislative branch is exactly where laws are written and passed.  So any plan proposed by POTUS has to go through the House and the Senate first before it can be sugned into law.  It's not the other way around.

I've said this before and I'll say it agin, your govt school has failed you and you need to ask for a refund.

I appreciate your postings but have to disagree with some of your thoughts. You are correct that I don't like a lot of what Trump is doing but you are not correct that that is why I don't like him and his lies. And, yes, all politicians 'lie'....some intentional but in some instances they just got it wrong. I did not like GW Bush's politics but he is a decent man. I did not like George Bush's (father) politics, but he is a fine man. I do not like Trumps politics, but he is a buffoon. I think that any one of the other 17 (was it 17?) other Republican candidates who were candidates in 2016 would have pretty much made the same policy changes that Trump has, but most were decent human beings. According to a number of sources that keep tabs, Trump lies approximately 6.5 times a day. These are not just mistakes....they are LIES. He is divisive, intolerant, inconsistent, and ignorant. I am NOT talking about his policy (which he doesn't seem to have) or his politics.

I have heard (almost a mantra from Fox news and the Republicans) how terrible The ACA was. I don't know about you (or your experience. I don't have personal experience because I am on Medicare [and pleased with it. Hmmm, another government program]) but all that I have spoken with (and I'll grant that is not many) that used the ACA were very pleased...a sister-in-law with breast cancer in her not-recent past with breast cancer (early 60's), the lady that cuts my hair (40's), and a nephew that is self-employed (early 30's) saw their rates of insurance drastically drop. It certainly wasn't a disaster for them. I don't speak about it with people but these have been unsolicited opinions from them.

I listen to BBC on occasion and I detest what I understand to be true about what our allies and friends from other countries now think of the USA. I love this country and am very upset what Trump is doing to us. Again, not only some of his policies but just his attitudes.

Sorry it took so long to respond to this.  I am glad your anecdotal examples of people having a good experience with Obamacare but I can assure you that is just lucky happenstance.  From it's inception the news was rife with horror stories and we see every year the incredibly high premium increases for what turns out to be lousy insurance for far too many recipients.  A little research on your end will demonstrate your luck in finding some who have benefited.

I can provide you with my two examples of why its a disaster.  First my company.  Prior to Obamacare our average increases annual increases for health insurance were in the 9% range.  Painful, but tolerable.  Upon passage our increases rose to an average of 18%....that's right, it doubled. And the brokers told us the carriers increased rates in anticipation of Obamacare implementation.  Based on the recent increases they decidedly undershot what it was going to cost.   And our last year before we were forced into a very expensive PEO the proposed increase was 27% (and that was the best bid we got from the carriers that bid).  I attend meetings with other CEOs in our industry and I can assure you we are in the majority in this regard.  It has been a disaster for small businesses and since we can't compete in the labor market with the big firms without offering health insurance we don't have the option of eliminating our plan, even if we could do it legally.

Second example is also personal and that is my son's experience as a single, 27-year old free lance sound design guy on Obamacare.  He complains bitterly about being forced to pay a premium for insurance that he can never use.  Yes, if he gets pregnant, needs birth control, wants an abortion or the myriad of other coverages he doesn't need or want he may get some benefit.  But for the stuff he experiences he pays for eveything out of pocket because the deductibles are ridiculously high.  I tell him to thank his generation for voting for Democrats.

So while no doubt some Americans have benefited, it has come at a very high cost for many others and is a prime example of what happens when the govt tries to take control.  As for your Medicare, I am glad you love it.  I would too if I didn't have to pay for it.  But two little problems, the first is that it is going bankrupt and the second is that it consumes a huge percentage of our govt spending.  It needs to be reformed but given the demogougery of Democrats it will never happen.  So you enjoy it while you got it because your kids and grandkids are gonna get screwed.

Now they're saying it will go broke 3 years earlier than projected just last year.  So it goes belly up in 2026 versus 2029 and unless there are some structural changes soon I suspect it will happen even sooner than that.  On top of that, outflows from SS will exceed inflows in 2018 (at a time of lower unemployment) and they will have to draw down their "reserve" whatever the heck that is since we all know there is no SS trust fund.  But hey, the govt has done such a wonderful job with these programs so why not give them more power over our health care, right?
