It seems that many of the new posts have become so long that, either intentionally or unintentionally, questions are being left hanging in the wind. For example, under (Subject: You are doing it again Hound - architect - 5/30/2018 2:26:48 PM)  Architect says that "he basically opposes all of Trump's policies" to which I asked what would have been Hillary's campaign "promises" if she had been elected  President. Considering that he may not wish to speak for her, I asked what a list of his priority Democratic agenda would look like. I think we would all like to know what the Democrats  would have done during their first fifteen months in offoce.

They would have done their damnest to raise taxes and given the money to social programs.

But yes, it would be intesresting to hear his ideas.

BTW, I happened to drive by the Equality Methodist Church today.  Cars parked all over the cemetery with their trunks open.  Turned out today was Food Bank Day.  Noted that there were an awful lot of new looking cars.  I wonder what the criteria is for getting access to the Food Bank.  Anyone know?

Hound, I know that there is a drop off for Food Bank at EUMC every now and then but I am not aware of distribution from there.  But that is just what I understand..  Now cars in the cemetery with trunks open......new meaning to the Trunk or Treat that many churches have at Halloween.

Exactly.  They do distribute food from there, because my SIL belonged to that church and volunteered at the distribution.  Now it is possible that they were accepting donations from there on Thursday, and that would answer my question.

I think it is great that there is a food bank for the truly needy.  But I find myself often skeptical about who else gets food from the food bank.
