Anyone know anything about this?  We saw a guy running around close to the contours of the shoreline this morning, upper end of the lake.  Side of his boat said "CMAP" "Lake Mapping".

Several weeks ago, this nut was in our area also.....went round and round like he was riding a 4 wheeler through the mud.  Made a mess of the shoreline and left.

probably FEMA reclassifying (again) EVERY property touching the shoreline as FLOOD ZONE

We also saw a small boat riding close to our shoreline Sun late afternoon, but couldn't read anything.  We are in the Sturdivant area.  Figured it was APC. Wanting to see if we replaced one board on our boat dock railing so they could say they are watching us and send us a letter regarding replacement or upgrades to our boat house.

I got one of those letters when I had my dock clad in composite - didn't change a thing about the dock except its surface.  

There are a lot of companies now that sell maps of various lakes, so it may be one of those.  I know there is one company that sells a wooden map that shows the depth of lakes at various points.

I saw this boat a few weeks ago. I flagged the guy down to inquire and he told me what I pretty much already knew... That it was sonar mapping the lake bottom. I researched C-Map and found that they provide map data for many chart plotters including Lowrance, Raymarine and Humminbird as well as at least a couple dozen other systems.
