Ate at Kowaliga last evening. Food was excellent.

Wife had swordfish and I had. Shrimp. Onion rings

were good as well. Fudge brownie. Cold Beer with drinks.

Will go back again. Service was spot on.

I am in no way connected to this restaurant.

good for the lake & especially weekenders; us full timers just wish after 3-4 years they would jiggle the menu some ( new items, etc)

Well, I’m such a creature of habit.  Steak sandwich and onion rings.  Seldom disappoints.  A little comeback sauce and I am happy.

I agree with Flyfisher.  I wish they would change the menu or at least add some new dishes.  I often don't go there because I'm tired of he menu, but then I only go during he week in the summer.

Complaining about the lack of diversity in menu is about 180 degrees from the complaints about the Landing menu.  All the old timers are complaining there's too much diversity.  Crab-crusted Mahi-mahi anyone?

BTW it was delicious!

to limit our intake, wife & i usually , at every restaurant, order 1 entree & split--Kowaliga charges $3 to split; and not long ago, i remember an email from them promoting their Veggie Plate--ONLY $13.95 ! FYI, its $6.95 at Oscar's--no water view, but friendliest staff anywhere

The splitting fee always makes me laugh.  Why would they charge you to split a meal - would they prefer you to only eat half and throw the rest away?  Are they charging for taking up an extra seat?  Or for washing an extra dish?

i said--you dont have to go to the trouble to split it--just bring an extra plate & i'll do it--answer--still $3.00; so i guess thats either a TIP or a SURCHARGE ???

What if you order two entries and ask for a to go box and eat have another meal the next day for you and the misses?  Or you order a house salad and merely eat off her plate, viola split.

It just seem silly, but I guess I can imagine a situation when some kids come in and order one hamburger and spit it 4 ways (of course they woudn't expect an additional plate)  I guess the real answer is that they do it because they can.
