I have a big problem on my PC while I try to format my D partition, it suddenly prompts a message:Windows was unable to complete the formatDoes anybody knows how to fix this issue? I couldn't access the D partition right now. There are many important documents in it. Please help.

Your data may be lost, as the format process basically erases all pointers to information on that drive.  Hopefully you gave it a wrong command or something else kept it from starting the format process. If it did start you may be out of luck.

yup format is bad for important documents.  partial is almost as bad.  if you have to there are drive recovery services tha tmay be able to get it back but it costs $$$$$$
