Once again our beloved Congress passed a spending bill with out a dime to build the wall in spite of a tremendous demand to do so by the public! Why are our elected officiald opposing so vigorously the will of the people. I hate to think this but the only thing that makes sense is they are being bought by the drug cartels and to produce Democrat voters even if it turns us into a Third World country. Drug cartels own most, if not all, South American governments so what makes one think they won't do the same here?

I believe the only real hope to save this country from descending into something like a cross between a European style socialism and Venezuel is the Convention of States. Anyone not famaliar with this movement should look it up. Without going thru the Washington mess they have a way to use Article IV to impose term limits on our elected officials. Drain the swamp!

Diver, do you assume a con con will improve the constitution?  I'm frankly scared to open up that worm can.

This country is ate up with communist cancer.  SCOTUS nomination follies?  Ain't seen nothin' yet.

Yes, quite sure. The objects of the Convention of States is to do three things: term limits, A ballanced budget and making our elected officials obey the same laws as we do and no special perks. Who - except the politicians  - could oppose these.

Who  -  except the politicians  -  would change the Constitution?

Read Article V of the Constitution. It provides 2 ways to amend  the Constitution. Our founding Fathers provided, in their great wisdon, a second way. Should our government fail to do it's duty then 2/3 of the states can call a Constitution to propose amendmemt(s). This is totally separate from Washington. Then if 3/4 of the states ratify them these Amendments they become law. Some13 states have already passed such a resolution

I believe it was never more needed than now! Lets Do It!

OK I'll bite.  I am for con con, just scared of the Doug Jones and Chucky Schumer types putting their pencils on the scale.

You go in for term limits and get the 1st and 2nd amendments amended.

List the things we need to change and the simple wording of it or give a link or two.

I think documents should have the i's and t's crossed before starting anything.

A completed document might go viral on the internet and get the job done.

Trump seems to be draining well.

Article V

The Congress, whenever two thirds of both houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose amendments to this Constitution, or, on the application of the legislatures of two thirds of the several states, shall call a convention for proposing amendments, which, in either case, shall be valid to all intents and purposes, as part of this Constitution, when ratified by the legislatures of three fourths of the several states, or by conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other mode of ratification may be proposed by the Congress; provided that no amendment which may be made prior to the year one thousand eight hundred and eight shall in any manner affect the first and fourth clauses in the ninth section of the first article; and that no state, without its consent, shall be deprived of its equal suffrage in the Senate.
