Would some intelligent, well informed Forum member do me a favor and explain why there is a hatred of Jews by some groups and/or individuals.  I have never grasped why such a deep hatred, even by idiots like supposed muslim Farrakhan.  Nazi jealousy and Muslim hatred because Israelis kicked their butts out of the Holy Land, I understand, but Joe Blow in Nowhere, USA??  Just don’t get it.

BTW, I have always had Jewish friends, roommate in college, worked with and represented an Israeli manufacturer for 15 years, so Goof and Arch...keep the stupid comments to yourself.  And don’t drop the most loved dimokrap word,  RACIST.

agree with WIX--some of my best friends are Jewish--honest, polite AND law abiding--never  known a JEW to be arrested for murder, robbery, etc ?

I too wonder why.  I grew up around a lot of Jewish people, and have never found them to be other than warm and friendly.  I went to Israel to meet with Defense officials and found them to be warm and welcoming.  (and the food was fantastic).

I wondered what that guy that did the shooting meant when he said "they are slaughtering my people".  Huh?  And when those Alt Righters marched in Charlottesville last year, shouting you will not take over my country.... again Huh?

I'm afraid that certan social media sites are full of conspiracies that have no truth what so ever, but weak minded individuals, looking for a place to put their hatred, latch on untruths and build them up in their minds.  People want to blame Trump, but the truth is that these people existed long before Trump took office.

Jewish doctors and nurses at a Pittsburgh hospital were part of the team that helped save the anti-Semitic gunman accused of murdering 11 people.

After allegedly killing eight men and three women and wounding six other people, including four police officers at Pittsburgh’s Tree of Life Synagogue on Saturday, Robert Bowers, 46, was shot multiple times before being taken to Allegheny General Hospital. “He’s taken into my hospital and he’s shouting, ‘I want to kill all the Jews,'”

Dr. Jeff Cohen, the hospital’s president and a member of the Tree of Life Synagogue, told ABC. “The first three people to take care of him are Jewish.”

A nurse whose father is a rabbi also treated Bowers, Cohen said.

“We have a very simple mission at [Allegheny General Hospital] and I imagine it’s exactly the same at the other hospitals in the area: We’re here to take care of sick people. We’re not here to judge you,” Cohen said.

Very complicated question that has no simple answer because you have to separate European anti-Semitism from Muslim anti-Semitism.  I've read several books that covered this issue and had some theories.  Simplest one of course for the Europeand is that Jews killed Christ, which of course makes no sense theologically and even less when you consider that he was also a Jew.  Other theories I've read relate to the insular nature of Jews and their proclivity toward financial success.  Basically envy.  I've also read that in Nazi Germany Jews were an easy target to blame for the lousy results of WWI and the punitive peace agreement.

As for the Muslims I figured that out when I went on pilgrimage to Israel.  OMG, what a messed up place.  In essence the Temple Mount is allegedly co-located with where Mohammed supposedly ascended into heaven.....yah I know, fat chance that was where he ended up.  So basically Jews and Muslims have been fighting over the Holy of Holies (Islam's name for it) since the 7th century.  And of course we all know that Muslims consider anyone not Muslim to be an infidel.  But they harbor a special hatred for Jews because of the back and forth on the Temple Mount, which they currently control.  And the feeling is mutual I can assure you.  We were supposed to go there but were not permitted because there was a rumor that Orthodox Jews were planning to invade it in protest.  On a side note, I found the Orthodox Jews to be uniformly unpleasant and many were downright hostile.  Not so much with the Palestinians.  And sadly the Christians in Israel are stuck between the two and disliked by both.  It is such an incredible mess.

I think that the Muslim who did the quadruple bypass on a friend of mine has as good a chance of getting into heaven as MM does!

BTW: Do not the orthodox Christians believe that the only way to salvation through Jesus Christ.  In other words, the Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Bhuddists, ete, etc, etc are ''infidels''?

No.  Muslims regard non-Muslims as Infidels.  Jews don't believe that Jesus Christ was the son of God and they are still waiting.  Buddhists don't believe God, they believe we are all Gods and everything is part of everything else..  Hindus don't believe in one God, there are a number of Gods, but it doesn't matter because they are on the Path to Enlightenment and believe in reincarnation.  None of the groups other than Muslims refer to Christians and other religions as "Infidels".  All of the Western religions are based on the concept of Jesus Christ being the son of God.

Please describe your concept of an "Orthodox Christian". I don't believe I have heard that term before.

Interesting that most who posted share the same opinions.  I think people are misled by groups, and the killer in Pittsburg listened to the wrong people and krap.  When you look at Farrakhan's idiotic group of fake muslims, the Nazi's, the KKK, etc, these groups couldn't be more diverse except for the one common goal....destroy the Jews.  Seems to me these groups are all made up of extremely shallow, mentally deranged people.

The Jewish religion holds strong family values, togetherness, and loyalty as the untimate goal of the family unit.

Leave it to you, Arch-Idiot.  Glad your friend got good medical care.....did that make you become a muslim?

As to your sentence claiming that all who have not converted to become Christians feel everyone else is an infidel.  There are some who very well may feel that way, but, personally, I know most people on earth have not been exposed to Christianity; therefore, how can you label someone an infidel, if they have never had the opportunity.....  Muslims are the only ones who use the word infidel, I believe.

There are the Greek, Antiochian, Russian, Ethiopian, Serbian, etc ''Orthodox'' branches of Christainty, but in this case my reference to Orthodox Christian is just a $10 word for ''conservative'', "fundimentalist'' or ''Evangelical'' Christian.  Most Episcopalians are definitely not in that category!  I should have used a more conventional term.

Now, if those Fundimentalists believe and preach that anyone who does not ''accept Jesus as their personal savior'' cannot enter the gates of Heaven, couldn't they said to be calling those ''other'' believers as non-believers or ''infidels'' as per MM in his judgement of Muslims?

Many fundimentalist are big supporters of Israel because they believe the end times and Jesus's return cannot occur until the Jewish capital returns to Jerusalem.  Of course they also believe that when that occurs all Jews who have not accepted Jesus or do not do so then, will be ''cast into hell'' for their failure!  Yep, those folks are real lovers of the Jewish people as long as the Jewish people eventually denounce Judaism!

You are right...only Muslims believe all other believers are ''infidels''.  That is true.  But, it is also true that Christians preach that all non-christians are ''lost'' and destined to spend eternity suffering in hell (''No one comes to the Father except through Jesus Christ'').  Other than for the word used to define all the other faiths what is the difference?

BTW:: Muslims recognize Christ as a great profit born of a Virgin and refer to the Jews as the ''people of the book (bible)''.  Traditional Christianity offers no such nice words to Islam or any other faith with the exception to Judaism (after all Jrsus was a Jew so you almost have to say something nice even when you may not believe it*)!

* Think all of western Europe in the middle ages and huge swaths of Europe as late as 2018!

No, Christians do not use the word ''infidel'', they use the word ''lost'' or ''unsaved'' but the bottom line is the same.

Many nonfundimentalist Christians today, myself included, do not believe that all non-Christians are condemned and they are often called out as not ''true'' Christians by the self-defined and holier than thou''true'' Christians.

Many nonfundimentalist Muslims today, that Doctor included, do not consider all non-Muslims as ''infidels'' and they are often condemned as not ''true'' Muslims by the self-defined and holier than thou ''true'' Muslims.

"Bottom line is the same"

if you are "lost" then they pray for you and hope you see things their way so you can be "found" or "saved"

if you are an "infidel" they expect you to see things their way or you should be put to death.

yup totally the same thing.

Phil do you know any Muslims? If so ask them if that is what THEY believe.  They will emphatically tell you that Muslims do not believe or advocate for the execution of all non-Muslims!

I know a few and can say with certainty they do not interpret the Koran in such a way nor do they think I should be killed as an infidel. I am not saying that a few Muslim extremists under the influence of hateful men might take issue but by the same token a very few Roman Catholics still consider Protestants as non-Christians and headed straight to hell and vice-versa!  Adolph Hitler was a Catholic all his life...a fallen Catholic for sure, but I think I am correct in saying he was never excommunicated by Pius XII.  There are always extremists...Lord knows this forum has an ample share!

Yes, I agree you are an extremist.

I find it still laughable that you can equate the belief that when you die of natural causes someone may believe that you will go to one place or another based on what that personal believes -  to the belief that you should be killed for your different belief as more or less the same.

Even if many Muslims do not believe that part of it - the fact that you can equate the two ideas show just how delusional you are.

Yes, I personally know around 15, and have worked with and around many more.  Lived next to a family of 5 for about 4 years and had no problems with them.  I sat down and read the Quran with them to understand what they believed and what they indicated that they did not follow and why, some of which is not the exactly the same as some who does not go to Ash Wednesday, Lent or gets baptised.

Wake up Antifatech!!

I am pleased you know so many Muslims!  I certainly do not know that many.  I am concerned for your safety though when you say you have visited in their homes.  Weren't you concerned they would decapitate you?  After all It was you that said Muslims want ''infidels'' killed.

It is interesting that some on this forum (Phil for example) who are experts in comparative religion say Muslims call non-Muslims ''Infidels''.  The language of Islam is arabic.  Infidel is not an Arabic word, it comes from the Latin ''infidelis'' which is translated into English as ''unfaithful''.  The Christian Crusaders referred to the Muslims they were fighting as ''infidels''!  The Arabic word for ''infidel'' is ''Kafir'' which is translated into English as ''unbeliever''.

So Phil, form now on when you want to tell us who the Muslims want to kill please say ''Kufaar'' (the plural of Kafir) instead of ''infidels''! No reason not to be accurate in your deranged blather!
