My Japanese Persimmon tree had a super crop this year and I’m overflowing with fruit........any interest out there for some free stuff!!???

Hopefully I can post a pic.

They are not ripe yet but had to pick them before freezing temps.

Save all your persimmon stories........I’ve lived them all!!!

Back during the depression, my father broke his arm eating breakfast...fell out of a persimmon tree.  Fortunately, he was able to escape the hogs!

Well, you can handle just one more persimmon story.  Growing up on the farm, I had this one persimmon tree that I thought was amazing but my dad thought otherwise and decided to cut it down as it was in the fence row.  So, I "stood in the doorway" so to speak to save my tongue tingler.....didn't do that anymore!

A friend of mine tells a story of his experience as a kid.  He jumped the fence to steal a green apple from the neighbors fruit tree.  After biting into the green persimmon, he was sure that God was punishing him for stealing.

I have a persimmon tree next to my driveway and I gather the fruit as it drops off the tree. My chickens love the over ripe persimmons and fight over them when I throw them into the chicken yard.
