Finally the minority rule trifecta is broken with the flipping of the House.

Of course we will have to put up with minority rule in the Senate (looks as if 53% of the senate representing 44% of the population) and the White House whose current occupant received 45.9% of the vote!

The 52% of the governors who are  Republicans will represent only 40% of the citizens while the 48% who are Democrats will represent 60% of our citizens.  Still minority rule in the states but a lot better than before last Tuesday.

In 2020 I suspect the worm will turn still further assuming Dear Leader doesn't barricade himself in the Oval office and refuse to leave!

The United States is a republic of state’s.  We are not a democracy.  Have they stopped teaching that in public schools?  

Founders well understood the dangers of mob rule.

Yes, the UNITED States is a republic of states, but if the UNITED States is perpetually ruled by people given power by a minority of the citizens, I think a reasonable person would agree that the UNITED part is on weak grounds.

Interesting that so many posters believe having the people express themselves is ''mob'' rule unless they are agitating (see Browaed county) for something you also happen to want....then they become an enlightened electorate exercising their 1st amendment rights...better known as Republicans.

They won't spend 24/7 trying to replace Obamacare. The Right tried over 70 times and failed since 2010 to replace Obamacare without any plan. Pelosi doesn't have to do much to improve from the Ryan days. 

And yes, they will be a check and balance with the Executive Branch which has been lackig the past 2 years. Trump probably wet his pants as he watched the results.

Will be entertaining to see his tax returns. He lied when he said he would show them to the American people. Now, the Democrats will help him fulfill his pledge to show them and he will no longer be a liar when it comes to his tax returns.

The info ou referred to was first published in 2009....he enrolled as Obama not under his father's name.
