Dear Leader is confident that all his friends on this forum will do their duty and volunteer for the ''Finland Forest Forage Frolic''...grab those rakes and get your butts out in the woods!!!

My raking is taken care of with prescribed controlled burns, like they do around the lake on regular basis.  It removes potential burn fuel so that if a fire breaks out the volunteer fire departments have a  better  chance of containing.  A lesson that must not have been delivered west of Rockies

Exactly.  When was the last fire reported in forests owned by Georgia Pacific or Boise Cascade?  Or Weyerhauser? Forest floor management is a common and necessary practice for not only fire control, but for regrowth.  Many of those houses in Cali were literally built in a forest with just enough brush removal to lay a slab.  Good for Trump assigning blame to the likes of the Sierra Club who would rather protect critters than endorse proven fuel removal strategies (google root raking with bulldozers Archie) developed by those whose livlihood depends  on it.  But leave it to libs, who take his words and contort them to mean what THEY want it to mean.

lt's hard to rake 150,000 inaccessable acres.  Forest management is an important issue, but according to the president of Finland it was not part of his conversation with Dear Leader.  Who ya gona believe...yeah sure!

Heard yesterday that Jerrie Brown agreed with Trump that lack of forest management is directly responsible for out of control fires in da idiot state.  Wonder why other western states don’t kill off their citizens via stupidity?

Tree huggin’ idiots at their best.

Archie,

If they are inaccessible, that probably means that those parcels of land are not a significant threat to life and property.  If the Cali's want to build communities in a forest, then it is THOSE acres and surrounding areas that warrant the most forest floor attention.  I am not knowledgable in all things related to forest fires, but I assume that proactive forest floor de-fueling will render it easier to fight these blazes.  Reasonable people believe that is what Trump is talking about.  The Finland president probably had some good ideas too.  So what if libs try to mischaracterize a conversation between leaders of countries that have a common enemy, wildfires.

Just got a backpack blower and it is wonderful.  Never rake leaves again!  Worth its weight in gold!

Amen to non-ethanol for all motors that do not drive on interstate highways.
