And for you and your family also... for every one of us on this (sometimes) irreverent forum. We are blessed.  WE have much for which to be thankful.

We shall be especially thankful for the safe return of those of our families who are traveling.

I plan to cap off this day with a fire in the fireplace and two glasses of Chianti... in front of said fire, I will profess to my tiny, beautiful wife, how blessed am I... indeed.

and thankful for all those blessings.  About the only thing I am not thankful for is the fact turkey ever became the ''go to'' entree for the thanksgiving feast...never did like it and still don't.  I stuck with the ham, stuffed eggs, rice and gravy, creamed corn and, of course, the obligatory green bean casserole all washed down with a fine Pauillac and followed by a huge slice of pecan pie all in the company of a wonderful family!  Now, the diet begins!!

I think that is why so many tables add a 2nd protein like ham; so that those who don't care for turkey have something to eat.
