Keep in mind that the budget for this “experiment” in one state, Alabama, was basically the same as the Russians spent on the 2016 election and that is alleged to have elected Donald Trump.

The campaign was noticed by the media and whether by accident or by collusion, they spread the story that Roy Moore was Putin’s favorite candidate. 

So from Feburary to December Democrats figured out enough about how the Russian botnets worked to be able to replicate it in the special election.....

I find it intersting and amusing that Democats not only used thed the exact same tactics that Russia used, but also actually brought in the "russian bots" to like Roy Moore and try to tie Roy Moore not only to sex scandals but also to create the appearance of Russia collusion.

Not surprising.  The reality is that these efforts had no more impact on that race than the paltry actions by Russians did on the general.  But at least we can now watch Democrats undermine their own arguments about Russian collusion and its impact on 2016.

What I find more interesting is that we are 2 years into the Mueller investigation and little has been published about the internals of what actually went on.

but between the election and the special election - Democrats knew how much was spent, used the exact same tactics, AND was attempting to attach "russians" to Roy Moore in addition to his other issues.  I just find it amazing ... almost like they knew exactly how it worked and how to use it...
