keep it closed - hell close more of it.  Maybe if congress was not getting paid (or allowed to get the reimbursement) then they would get up off their collective butts and fix some things.

Trump should pull an Obama - find things that the D's really like and make the shutdown really hurt - like Oblamer did to veterans.

No, Phil… President Trump should stay focused.  The political argument is a side show.  His mission is to make America great… NOT make liberals look stupid.  If President Trump stoops to politics, the concept of “draining the swamp” will be just another political slogan.

President Trump MUST adhere to the mission… his mission… to rescue the United States from past executive.. and, if he can…  legislative mismanagement. Our Constitution and our legacy is to LEAD our nation... and by extension... the world, into full productivity.  We must BE the bastion of personal freedom.  We must undermine oppression… and free the human spirit!

To retreat from individualism and join Hillary’s “village” is to embrace socialism and the elevation by subjugation... to the elite.... some are not more equal than others.  

If you truly understand history and philosophy… you get my point.  Our forefathers did… perfectly.

Oh I fully agree - but as the shutdown continues someone has to give somewhere.  As long as Trump is standing for the security of the US I have no problems with the shutdown.  My comment was more that as it goes longer and longer sooner or later it will affect something or someone not getting paid that they care more about then border security.

Clinton shut it down for around 21 days - Gingrich wanted to cut medicare/medicaid and Clinton stood up to stop those cuts.  It is intersting that this shutdown is starting around the same time of year and I believe as long as Trump keeps the message about border security he should have no problem.  BUt of course according to history.com where I went to refresh my memory Clinton decided it would be a great time to get a new mistress for his Oral Office since few people were around.
