Too bad Trump lied when he said that Mexico would pay for the wall. And, the Deplorables fell for it. He can have his wall if he would just live up to his major pledge when he ran. He knew, as most Americans did, that no way in hell was Mexico going to pay for it. Now, the government is shut down because Trump lied.

most common, maybe yes, maybe old stats.  But if you were a drug trafficer, where would you choose to send your wares?  Across legal POE where the chances for detection one would think are high or across an unprotected border via mule, human, tunnel.  Common sense would indicate to me that success would be more likely over an unprotected border.

I think most of the locations of where the drugs cross is a matter of scale - they can send a few pounds at most via a human through the desert or hundreds of pounds hidden in cars/trucks - or just pay off airport security and fly it in.

While on the economy of scale the one drug mule with a few pounds is not the cause of the drug epidemic, it does not help and he is risking his life

I assume that everyone on this forum knows that Trump has multiple ways to build the wall other than an appropriation.  For instance, the college debt could be sold on the cheap to access enough money to build the wall.  

I am at a loss why he will risk the 2020 election fighting this way.  He who lives by the sword dies by the sword.
