I have no problem with the Electoral college.  I was not addressing the Electoral college, I was addressing the fact that Donald Trump was NOT the choice of most actual voters.  I do have a problem with CRD's rather clear preference that somehow the votes of the people in the middle of the country should carry more weight than those on the edges!

Donald Trump was elected in accordance with the laws of our Consitutional Republic.  So the popular vote makes no difference. Why do you keep harping on it?

Answer me a two part question. Could the coasts survive without the heartland, and could the heartland survive without the coasts?

Do you think that the people in the heartland of America have viewpionts and dreams that are in anyway related to those in California, New York, Texas, and Florida? These four states have a combined total of 151 of the 435 representatives in the House. The warped voters of these four states have an inordinate adverse affect on the people in the other 46 states.

Donald Trump was constititutionaly elected,  but he was not, as is often stated on this forum, ''the choice of the people''.  That is truth and because it is truth I will keep pointing it out.  Do you disagree or do you agree with Trump that there were 3 to 6 million illegal votes?

I think we both know that in the modern economy the heartland could not maintain its modern way of life for long without the coasts and the coasts could not do so without the heartland...tell it to CRD who seems to feel otherwise.

The house of representatives is based on population, so I dispute your claim.  In fact Republican gerrymandering in actuality gives the GOP representation above their total votes.  In 2010 the GOP candidates for the house received 3 million more votes than the Democrat's and picked up 61 new seats.  In 2018 the Democratic candidates received 9.5 million more votes than the GOP's but, thanks to the gerrymander, picked up only 40 new seats.

So do you have a problem with the senate where WY with 600,000 people has 2 senators as does CA with 30.9 million?  In fact the GOP controls the senate with 53% of the seats representing only 40% of the population.  

Today the nation is actually ruled by a minority of the people in all 3 branches of government!

OI have no idea how many illegal votes were cast, although anecdotal evidence would suggest there were some. 

And in an existential sense I would say the heartland has it hands down over the coasts, especially the East Cosst. It all boils down to agriculture, and while California is indeed the land of fruits and nuts, those alone won’t sustain much on a long term basis.
