Too bad Trump didn't run on I WILL WORK WITH CONGRESS AND TOGETHER WE WILL BE A BEAUTIFUL WALL.  The wall would be under construction. But, the Dems are pissed that he ran AND WON with his MEXICO WILL BUILD THE WALL. Time for him to show some humility and admit he was wrong and try and reach a compromise.

He needs to quickly develop some leadership skills which he did not need when he ran Trump Enterprises. He led a private company with no stockholders or board of directors. The Art of The Deal doesn't work governing in a democracy. The Art of Compromise does.

Yes, compromise - such as all the things that Trump left on the table such as DACA, paths to citizenship - which dems refused everything due to the immorality of the wall, while I see you do not have a problem with the morality of the wall, just its funding sources, much like myself and abortion.

Compromise requires that both sides give a little and get a little - seems the Dems are missing giving up anything with their demands and in return I hope the Rs give them nothing in exchange.

Another shutdown coming or funding from somewhere.

With AOC rolling out her green dream - do you have plans to convert any boats over to solar or do you plan to hoist a sail?  10 years or less is your timeline till we are rid of fossil fuels which seems to me that it would include those 2 and 4 stroke marine powerplants.  Guess you can always row your boat.

Don't say those evil words that I have to give up my 225 Yamaha.....I can always switch to sail....

This summer my 12 year old granddaughter asked me why I drive a truck? My response was. " I enjoy it". She said, "You are helping to destroy the planet". My response was... your dad has a truck. She came back with "He uses his for business". I responded.."Your mom, your sister, and your uncle all drive a Prius...so I believe that allows me to drive a truck". I stopped to get a snack for us and started a chat about homework.

PS I drive a F150 4x4

Nope all engines gone in 10 years.  nothing burning fossil fuels.  You have to give up your truck and boat - maybe put a solar panel on both.

I showed your post to my wife. She sent me the attached and said "Go for it". Amazing 0-60 under 3 seconds an 0-100 under 7 seconds.

The price just seems too low.

WOWWWWWW

Rivian is taking a refundable $1,000 deposit for deliveries slated in late 2020 with prices starting at $69,000 for the R1T and $72,500 for the R1S before a $7,500 federal tax credit.Nov 26, 2018.

Go ahead and trade in your truck - Ill believe it when I see  you post an image of it in your drive way.

https://www.greencarreports.com/news/1120079_rivian-r1t-all-electric-pickup-revealed-400-mile-range-160-kw-dc-fast-charging

400 mile range for $70K  Hell, for that you should buy two, sad part is it will take you a week or two to recharge via solar panel since no nuke plants, no coal, no fossil fuel plants - just nice clean renewable energy.

Maybe you can put up a few wind mills on the water down there to keep your truck charged.

A big negative for me is that you can't use Telsa charging stations.

One thing I have always wondered: if you run out of power who do you get to bring you a bucket of amps?

Alabama Power will have a fleet of 12 trucks in the whole state to connect you to the “nearest” pole for a small fee of $2,997, plus tax.  BTW, has anyone ever seen the cost of charging a car every day for a month $$$$$$??

How much does it cost to charge an electric car generally?

As you might expect, the cost of electricity varies from place to place, the same way that fuel costs vary across the nation. However, the cost of charging an electric vehicle also reflects differences between charging at home and charging outside of the home.

One recent study conducted by Michigan's Transportation Research Institute took all of these factors into consideration and determined that the average cost to charge an electric vehicle across the nation comes to $485 per year.

Broken down further, that is just over $40 per month. In areas where investment in renewable energy is prevalent, it can be even lower. However, if you find yourself charging away from home often, you might be paying a premium to a third-party charging service.

How much to fuel a gas car vs. how much to charge a Tesla

The same study mentioned above indicated that the average cost to operate an internal combustion engine car was closer to $1,117 per year or $93 per month. Obviously, there is also the matter of range to consider. For instance, a truck that only gets 14 mpg is not the same as fueling a sedan that gets closer to 40 mpg. It is also worth noting that in some parts of the country, fuel costs can be quite outrageous, but those same areas tend to have cheaper electric costs

Over the years I have spent a fair amount of time in San Diego, CA.  The average price of gasoline there has been 40-50% higher than Montgomery.  Checking tonight, the price per kilowatt hour in San Diego runs about 22 cents, while the price in Montgomery is a little over 12 cents.  That is exactly the opposite of your claim.

So GOOF-KILOWATT,  on you c & p, how many miles per month were driven in each example.  Typical liberal BS study example.  Also, renting a real auto for long trips not included.

Since "time is money", why not factor in the difference to reload...I can fill my tank with gasoline in a few minutes and be on my way...for most electric vehicles you're having to charge overnight.  I'm there and completed the art of the deal before you even get started.

Does not really matter to him just like most lefties - Asked why you drive a great big 4X4 - " I enjoy it"  You are destroying the planet, well your dad drives  a truck and since everyone else in the family drives a Prius I can do what I want because they offset all my destruction and should do as I say and not as I do -  here have a snack so you will forget what we are talking about.

I have never been a fan of electric for the same reason AU mentioned. What is interesting about the truck is a range of 400 miles. My truck is a 2005 and I just passed 100,000...an avarage of 7,000 miles per year...rarther  nominal useage.

As to cost, I saw the article and posted. Thanks for posting various prices of gas and electric. They did mention the word average. One can always find a price that is outside the aveage.

So like most of your posts you lied - Did you "see the post" or did the wife "send you the attachment" with a "Go for it"?

I showed this to my wifey....

"With AOC rolling out her green dream - do you have plans to convert any boats over to solar or do you plan to hoist a sail?  10 years or less is your timeline till we are rid of fossil fuels which seems to me that it would include those 2 and 4 stroke marine powerplants.  Guess you can always row your boat."

She sent me the info on the truck. Got it? Not really complicatd. No lies. My nose is not growing.

What I fail to undertand is if you assume my posts are just lies, why would a guy who considers himself to be sharp waste his employer's time reading my lies? Inquiring minds are wondering....

My wife sent an email to Bezo and GM President yesterday promoting the truck and today they announced the following....

Amazon and General Motors are in talks to invest in Rivian Automotive LLC in a deal that would value the U.S. electric pickup truck manufacturer at between $1 billion and $2 billion, people familiar with the matter said on Tuesday.

The deal would give Amazon and General Motors minority stakes in Rivian, the sources said. It would be a major boost for the Plymouth, Michigan-based startup, which aspires to be the first car maker to the U.S. consumer market with an electric pickup.

All due to your post. Way to go............

And I give that post 5 pinocchio's

Yes you wife is in so good with Bezo's and GM that they decided within moments of getting her email that they should just "go for it" and not do any market research or anything.

You proved my point you are delusional and full of Schiff.

And the only reason you are not on ignore is that you are comic relief.

I find it funny that you showed my post to your wifey ( sexist ) about a discussion of marine engines and she sent you information on a electric truck and not a trolling motor or eco friendly marine solution and she can now sway the marketing processes at GM and Amazon.  Maybe she just thinks you are killing the environment like your grandaughter, but you think its ok because enough people in your family bought a Prius.

Keeping digging that hole, cause your nose is getting longer with each post.

Wifey is real sharp and analyzed your posting pattern. She concluded you need to spend more time sailing.

Too cold right now - but your Wifey is in so good with Bezos was she the one who leaked his naked pictures and texts or did she help him take them?

She knows who leaked them. The brother of Bezo's mistress.

That is pretty common knowledge once they got past the NSA / intelligence agencies / Trump did it., Still does not prove that your wifey knows Bezos and GM so well he might invest based on nothing but her email.

Or is wifey actually bezos mistress brother?

Still call Bull Schiff.
