Subject:   McCabe admits to the deep state coup
Date:   2/14/2019 9:15:35 AM

So on 60 Minutes McCabe actually admits to the existence of the deep state and their desire to foment a coup against a duly elected President.  And even worse, the guy has to be the most illiterate lawyer alive....which is saying a lot.  He doesn't even know what the 25th Amendment is for and how it works.  You see, that is why I have a strong opinion about the low quality of far too many people that work for the govt.  Many are intelligent and hard working but far too many of them could not survive in the private sector where intellect, hard work, risk taking, etc. are essential to remaining a member of the bi-weekly paycheck club.

And no wonder Rosenstein won't testify to Congress.  He would either have to perjure himself or admit to his participation in this deep state coup talk.  Better to remain silent than to end up being charged with a crime.

he must have given 2 interviews because that sure isn't what he says on the U Tube excerpts that I've heard.  Guess the high and mighty and real smart MM has access to the whole "real" Yet to be broadcast interview that us lesser beings are not permitted to hear!

I havent seen either the YouTube excerpts or the full interview so will not comment on the content of either.

By your own admission you only saw excerpts.  You are going to look pretty silly if your edited version took out the part(s) inconvenient to the political agenda of the poster and the full interview indeed supports MM's version.

Smells like a coup to me unverified opposition research used to attempt to remove the President, when they knew they did not have anything on "Russia Russia Russia" they started with Comey and obstruction of justice to try and push that narrative instead since even by Strozks on admission by that time they had found nothing regarding Russia.

So the dossier was known to the FBI in 2016 to be DNC / Clinton Propaganda, Comey is fired in May of 2017.

Mr. McCabe said he spoke to Mr. Trump just after Mr. Comey was fired, and the next day he met with the team investigating Russia’s election interference.

“There were meetings at the Justice Department at which it was discussed whether the vice president and a majority of the cabinet could be brought together to remove the president of the United States under the 25th Amendment,” Mr. Pelley said. “These were the eight days from Comey’s firing to the point that Robert Mueller was appointed special counsel. And the highest levels of American law enforcement were trying to figure out what do with the president.”

Former law enforcement officials said the comments were made during a pair of meetings on May 16, 2017. Mr. McCabe and his former colleagues kept contemporaneous memos on their interactions with Mr. Trump and Justice Department officials.

According to one of those memos written by Mr. McCabe, an excerpt from which was provided to The New York Times, the former F.B.I. agent wrote that “we discussed the president’s capacity and the possibility he could be removed from office under the 25th Amendment” and the deputy attorney general indicated he looked into the issue and determined he would need a “majority or 8 of the 15 cabinet officials.” Mr. McCabe added that Mr. Rosenstein suggested that he might have supporters in the attorney general and secretary of Homeland Security.

Mr. Rosenstein had disputed the account about the wire and the 25th Amendment.

Mr. Pelley said, “They were counting noses. They were not asking cabinet members whether they would vote for or against removing the president, but they were speculating ‘This person would be with us, this person would not be,’ and they were counting noses in that effort.”

“This was not perceived to be a joke,” Mr. Pelley added.

“There were meetings at the Justice Department at which it was discussed whether the vice president and a majority of the Cabinet could be brought together to remove the president of the United States under the 25th Amendment,” Pelley said Thursday. “And the highest levels of American law enforcement were trying to figure out what to do with the president.”

Pelley said that McCabe told him Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein offered multiple times to wear a wire in meetings with Trump.

Pelley says that McCabe said that Rosenstein's offer was serious and it happened more than once.

"McCabe ... says no, it came up more than once and it was so serious that he took it to the lawyers at the FBI to discuss it," Pelley said.

You are of course correct and I have to assume the actuality is the same for MM.  I look forward to and will happily accept your similar assessment of how foolish MM looks if he turns out to be the goat.

Was all that is in Phil's post in your excerpt?  Not taking sides, just seeking facts (not opinion).

As Mollie Hemingway, writing at The Federalist, pointed out in January, a butt-covering piece dumped out by the news fakers at the New York Times late on Friday, January 18 basically admitted as much:

“Admitting there is no actual evidence for their probe into whether Trump ‘worked for the Russians,’ FBI officials instead cited their foreign policy differences with him, his lawful firing of bungling FBI Director James Comey, and alarm that he accurately revealed to the American public that he was told he wasn’t under investigation by the FBI, when they preferred to hide that fact.”

In that same piece, Hemingway further pointed out that CNN had also made damaging admissions about the traitorous motivations of McCabe and his fellow FBI cronies:

Just last month [December, 2018], CNN reported that top FBI officials opened an investigation into Trump after the lawful firing of Comey because Trump “needed to be reined in,” a shocking admission of abuse of power by our nation’s top law enforcement agency.

In other words, your Federal Bureau of Investigation, on orders from Andrew McCabe, engaged in an “obstruction of justice” investigation in retaliation for President Trump’s legal and well-justified firing of the utterly corrupt and incompetent FBI Director James Comey.

But McCabe is not the only traitorous skunk in this drama. It is also vitally important that everyone keep in mind that he was at the time working under the full supervision of then-Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, because the worthless AG Jeff Sessions had stupidly and needlessly recused himself.  Rosenstein not only fully approved of McCabe’s retaliatory act, he also allegedly offered to wear a wire in meetings with the duly-elected President of the United States of America in order to try to build a case for either impeachment or removing him from office under the guise of the 25th Amendment.

I have Archie on ignore but I take it from the rest of this that he is in denial.  That this was even discussed should be chilling.  And hat tip to Phil for proving Archie wrong.  Bear in mind that they all thought Hillary would win.  Then when she didn't they discussed nothing short of orchestrating a coup.  Archie can have his opinions but we have facts.

Why don't we all watch 60 Minutes and see for ourselves who has the ''facts''?

Here is the transcript from 60 Minutes.  Judge for yourself.  And remember, this is in addition to McCabe claiming Rosenstein repeatedly wanted to wear a wire and record Trump.  And of course, we should all bear in mind what is going on here.  McCabe is in deep trouble and needs to hawk his book to pay legal fees.  He is essentially doing that while at the same time signaling to Rosenstein that he isn't going down alone.  You should also take note of the carefully crafted language Rosenstein used in the denial of McCabe's allegations.  Clintonesque to say the least.  And finally, note that Rosenstein has repeatedly refused to testify under oath to Congress.....and for good reason.

Andrew McCabe: Discussion of the 25th Amendment was simply, Rod raised the issue and discussed it with me in the context of thinking about how many other cabinet officials might support such an effort. I didn't have much to contribute, to be perfectly honest, in that— conversation. So I listened to what he had to say. But, to be fair, it was an unbelievably stressful time. I can't even describe for you how many things must have been coursing through the deputy attorney general's mind at that point. So it was really something that he kinda threw out in a very frenzied chaotic conversation about where we were and what we needed to do next.

Scott Pelley: What seemed to be coursing through the mind of the deputy attorney general was getting rid of the president of the United States

Andrew McCabe: Well—

Pelley: One way or another.

Andrew McCabe: I can't confirm that. But what I can say is the deputy attorney general was definitely very concerned about the president, about his capacity, and about his intent at that point in time.

Scott Pelley: How did he bring up the idea of the 25th amendment to you?

Andrew McCabe: Honestly, I don't remember. He, it was just another kinda topic that he jumped to in the midst of a wide-ranging conversation.

Scott Pelley: Seriously? (LAUGH) Just—

Andrew McCabe: Yeah—

Scott Pelley: —another topic

Andrew McCabe: Yeah.

Scott Pelley: Did you counsel him on that?

Andrew McCabe: I didn't. I mean, he was discussing other cabinet members and whether or not people would support such an idea, whether or not other cabinet members would, shared, his belief that the president was — was really concerning, was concerning Rod at that time.

Scott Pelley: Rosenstein was actually openly talking about whether there was a majority of the cabinet who would vote to remove the president.

Andrew McCabe: That's correct. Counting votes or possible votes.

Scott Pelley: Did he assign specific votes to specific people?

Andrew McCabe: No, not that I recall.

Hard reality when my facts taken right from the 60 Minutes website crushes fact-free opinions.  I really don't understand people that seem to enjoy constantly being wrong and actually ask for it over and over.  There is something deeply troubling about a person that repeatedly does so when it is so easy to figure this out.  I guess that is what happens when you rely on sources that are trying to obfuscate the truth.  So easy to find the truth but like the media with all the recent stories, they are so quick to believe something that just isn't true because it fits their ideologic bias.
