Has anyone followed the Methodist worldwide argument over acceptance of homosexuals within the Council of Bishops and ministers?  Just read an article that they have voted to follow the Biblical guidance rather than LGBTQ demands and there will be no more homo bishops or ministers, or homosexual “weddings”.   Homosexual members are welcomed, new rule applies only to clergy.  After seeing the destruction of Presbyterian, Episcopalian, and Lutheran organizations by infiltration of liberals, its good to see a denomination stand up for God, Christ, and the Bible.

Most likely this will result in a split in the United Methodist here in the USA. The preponderance of support for the queer agenda in the US will make it happen.

Oh, I agree.  But, at least the Methodist took a stand instead of crumbling to the leftist.

Look at the vote.  43% of the votes came from delegations from outside the US.  The UMC outside N America tends to be very conservative and reactionary and they voted overwhelmingly with the anti-gay inclusion faction.

57% of the delegates were from the USA and they voted by majority, not a huge majority but a clear majority, for the ''One church'' option that would in effect leave it up to the individual churches.

So WIX stands with the Africans and Asians rather than the Americans.  Sort of surprising for such a racist!

I now attend and am a member of a United Methodist church.  As I am neither Republican nor Democrat, I am also independent when it comes down to theology… I was brought up (Southern Baptist) on the teachings of the Bible… I can read and draw my own conclusions from the teachings of Jesus.

I wish to note here that The United Methodists… aren’t… united, that is.  Regardless of how their poobahs decree, the locals will handle it their own way.

I do not agree with the LBGTQ dogma.  I do not accept that I must publically validate their preference(s).  On the other hand, WHATEVER they do in private is none of my business.

AND… they are welcome to come into my church and worship and fellowship with us (me).  ("Let he, who is without sin, cast the first stone.")

This is NOT confusing at all.  When I get to my final reckoning, everything I “loosed” on earth will be found “in my cup”… “packed down and overflowing.”  I do not want judgment, hatred, and bigotry found in my cup.  They too… the LBGTQ… will find everything they “loosed” on earth in their cup.  EVERY “Christian” will also find everything they “loosed” on earth in their cup.  And GOD is the only one authorized to mete out judgment.

I DO want to find forgiveness and compassion in my cup.  Do you?  Should the members of my congregation… my minister… my denomination practice forgiveness and compassion?  In my church… I believe they will.  I have seen unmistakable evidence that they do.

Yes!!  You bet I stand with people who believe in God’s word and guidance and I agree with the African’s and Asian’s.  The way I understand the decision....it only affects bishops and clergy that are openly homosexual.  Who wants their children looking up to and being influenced by homosexuals.  Take a good look at the Catholic Church and the problems they have had for decades (centuries) with homosexual priests and the abuse of thousands of young who looked up to the homos.  Don’t confuse homos with Dimokraps....arch-idiot.  If you want homosexuals leading your children, then you are one sick sucker.  Ever wonder why homos are attracted to the ministry???

when it comes to providing a moral compass!!

I know a lot of gays and lesbians and have had several as clients and some of them are among my best friends...not a single one of them displays as much hate, fear, animosity, and self loathing as WIX!

You seem to have a very interesting circle of "friends". Your comment about Wix is pathetic, but I will leave it up to him to reply to your crude comments.

with someone having gays among his circle of friends.  You are to one who is apathetic as well as a bigot.  Unitil they moved into a downsized condo, we had a gay couple next door that had been together for over 30 years (they still are in fact in their mid 80's) and they are the best neighbors we have ever had.  My wife and I still joke that one should always try to move next door to gays...they keep their yard in perfect condition and will even spruce your's up for you unasked if you start letting things get a bit shaggy!  I really feel sorry for you if your circle of friends does not include any gays...you are the one missing out, not me.

Of course you probably do have gay friends but don't know it.  Will you reject them if they "come out"?

Cheap undocumented labor for drywall and decks and the neighborhood gays come by to tidy up when you are just too lazy to do your own landscaping.  And he even has the nerve to call others a bigot/racist.

Have had several over the years and was at my best friends hospital bed when he died from HIV.

You really need to get some help, the hatred in your soul is eating you.

Dummy, go back and read my post.  Would you like to have homosexual leaders influence your children in church?  Maybe many are good, but many are not...why take a chance.  That's the point.  The decision made by the Methodist church affects leaders only. LGBTQ's are welcome in the church, as always.  Centuries of experience, and the word of God led this organization to make the correct decision.  Self-loathing seems to be your trademark, certainly not mine.
