Is anyone aware of any storm damage last night in the Lake Martin area, particularly around Blue Creek?

My husband and I have a place in the Blue Creek area and have been down here since Wednesday.  We have a beautiful lot but with a VERY old, VERY tiny cabin (plan to rebuild in a few years).  So, when there is tornado weather we (I) get quite nervous! We were anxiously watching the weather last night and when the "hook" on the radar began heading toward Lake Martin, we jumped in the car and drove down to Opelika, watching it on our phone as we made the trip.  After an hour, and the bad weather had moved on past Lake Martin, we drove back home.  Much to our surprise, it had not even rained anywhere around our house, which is just off hwy 34.  The streets in Dadeville were a bit wet as we drove through, but nothing at all down hwy. 34.  No rain, fallen branches or even twigs in the road or in people's yards.  We were shocked but very happy that all was well when we got back home.

Thanks for the information. I live in Montgomery and I always appreciate any update from those who are there full time.

Are you close to Herron Camp Road?  I am & all we had was rain.
