I keep a record every year and for the past two years, we have seen them around the 13rh of March.  They are just scouts at that point, but we have had colonies take up residence in our gourds for a number of years now.

I have 6 pair. Showed up around first of March. North end of the lake.

Saw some on 6 March.  A large male was serving eviction notice to the blue birds, who as usual got the message and moved back into their proper residences I provide.

Have not seen the rest of our annual colony yet.

I passed a martin house near Montgomery today and it was covered up in them!
