Americans who are proud to be part of a civilized society pay for it. We have paid into Medicare over the years for Medicare A and Medicare B is paid for by the Insured person. Let me get it straight...FREE SCHOOLS...I was referring to PUBLIC K-12. To the RIGHT this is welfare. Just as WIX agrees. Yet, who paid for it when he went to school? Oh, that's diffeent since he was on the receiving end. And what would you suggest to replace your lousy Medicare??

As to repatriations...I don't support it. As to free college for all...Don't support it either but would support additional funding to support grants for those unable to afford. As I wrote, I don't agree with everything the Left proposes.

As to Johnson almost destroying Southern schools....racism at its best. WIX must have a real issue when he watches all the blacks receiving athletic scholarships to play football for Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Miss, LSU... You need to leave the past dude...

There is no such thing as free gubment schools (any Grade).....some working American pays the bill...period.  Free only to the useless welfare human waste.  

My true point about the destruction of schools in the South is very evident today.  If the stupid politicians had integrated the schools on a grade by grade phase in instead of the disastrous dumping, those underachievers would have had an opportunity to learn as they progressed instead of being bypassed and winding up on welfare.  Take a good look at our cities today....how do you explain the white flight?  Answer is simple....lack of preparation by liberal politicians.  It didn’t have to wind up this way.

Oh What wonderful MEDICARE!!  I pay an additional $3,000+/yr for Supplementals (costs not covered by gubment) plus co-pays!  It’s wonderful....ain’t it.  To add insult to injury, as you get older Medicare cuts coverage for illnesses, so you’ll die and get out of da gubment system.

Reparations......absolutely.  The dimokrap party should pay $100,000 to every living person who experienced the tragedy of the War Between the States.

I, too, have a supplement and pay $4,200 per year for both of us. That is why I asked if for one or two.

As I undertand, the majority of plans in AL are attained age which as you know will increase based on both age and experience.

I am under a plan that is age of entry where the rate at 65 does not change based on age. Just changes based on experience of all coverd by the carrier in the state. My rate was higher to start but really levels out as one gets older. I suspect your plan was lower than mine when you signed up.

I have no copays. What co pays do you have if you have a supplement other than the medicare deductible?

Have you looked into Medicare Advantage?

Based on $6,000 per year, you can self insure since you would need medical bills of $30,000 per year at 20% co pay based on the Medicare schedule of payments.

GOOFY, your wise advice for personal life is accepted, but you know nothing about my or my spouse’s health needs, desires, or goals.  Every individual must design their mediocre Medicare coverage to suit their needs and goals.  As you know there are multiple supplemental plans with different coverages and premiums.  The supplemental plan insurance we have meets our needs.

BTW, you didn’t discuss Part D coverage.....guess you don’t need drugs!

What's your beef??? Between Medicare and my supplement, we have 100% coverage for $4,200 per yar plus my medicare premium. You should have the same.

As to Medicare D, it ws a plan signed by President Bush 43...so it is a Right wing plan. Blame the donut hole of the Right. I find I can do better at times utilizing Good RX. Really need to check plans each year. I have worked with some reviewing their plan each year and you would be surprisd how many never check other plans on the Medicare D website.

Just think without Medicare, what you would be paying for insurance at your age........AND it covered all preexisitng conditions.

We shop Part D every year and change most years..it is a racket if you don’t go with best and cheapest for you, but there’s always some company baiting a cheap rate....I just switch when they get greedy.

As to how wonderful Medicare is, one must remember it’s not free....we buy it over our entire working lives of 40 years.  The dumbest thing dimokrap idiots do is tout it to stupid Americans as free......and only if you vote dimokrap you’ll be taken care of for FREE.  GEEZ!!

In my entire working time, I only had one illness in the family that came under “pre-existing condition”, and that only occurred on job change and only for six months.  Yes, it can be a bad problem, but the occurrence is not nearly as frequently as dimokraps would have you believe.  Most dimokrap idiots couldn’t even describe the terms of a pre-existing condition.....”Medicaid don’t have dat”....

I have the same plan as you. I pay the deductible. You  lost me when you said you have co pays. I just pay the deductible. No co pays so far.

Plans that pay the deductible will no longer accept new enrollees beginning in 2020.

I just checked the cost for plans G and F

Plan G $191/mth

Plan F $209/mth

G + the deductible is $30/yr cheaper.

Still think for someone over 65, Medicare is a great deal. The rates are reasonable because of the schedule they pay the hospitals and doctors. Without Medicare, we would be paying  high premiums to cover the increased dollars that commerical insurance would pay for each claim compared to what Medicare pays.

I re-read gubment info and plan F pays deductible for Sch B.  If you pay a deductible you must have G.  Anyway, my monthly is $192.10.

I included Part D in my estimate of $3,000/yr. Part D has a $400 deductible.  If you do not have “D” from the beginning of your Medicare coverage, I believe you will have to pay a huge penalty if you add it later....I wasn’t willing to take that risk.

Medicare was an acceptable plan, until o-BAMMIE corrupted it by moving all his dimokrap slugs whose unemployment freebies had expired over to 100% “disabled” (bad back).  Saw where there are now 71,000,000 on Medicare....we all know how it exploded....and it wasn’t baby boomers!

Yes, I pay the deductible like you and ave Plan G. My $4,200 per year for both of us did not include Medicare D. We have Aetna at around $400/year for both of us. So, we are around $5,000 for the supplement and D.
