If Hillary was supposed to be Obama 2.0 and lost the presidency to Trump.  Yet Biden as Obama 2.5 should really be the answer?

Not that I trust polling, but imagine *if* any of the spying that went on under the Obama WH is true - Biden is probably the last person you would want to put up as President since he would have been part of the illegal DOJ/FBI spying.

This early in the cycle this poll is really more about name recognition.  Look at the polls on the GOP side at this time before the 2016 election.  None of those at the top of the list at that time were in the mix at the end.  Frankly, given the looniness on the left I can't imagine their primary voters going with him when they seem so enamored with socialism.  I guess another way to look at is that 60% of them don't want Biden and most of that 60% are leaning toward socialists.  It seems to me more likely that they will coalesce around another socialist rather than giving into Biden.  For him that's a ceiling and he has nowhere to go but down.....maybe.  Or possibly he convince enough of them that he is the only one that can beat Trump.  I don't see that happening as they more likely see him as Hillary 2.0 and the media has beaten the drum that Sanders was the only one in 2016 that could have beaten Trump.  I don't buy that for a second but I don't need to.....it's what they believe that matters.

Agree the Hill page I pulled the poll from ws talking about he was not progressive / liberal enough to last and another Hill page was that he was being targeted by the other canidates for being too conservative.

Maybe I should by stock in Orville Redenbacher 2020 is going to be better then 2016.
