he had nothing to do with making sure the USS John S McCain was out of his sight but that it was ''A well meaning'' act.

This man is the world's biggest jerk!!! How can anybody on this forum that has the ability to think straight conrtinue to at either defend, support, or apologize for every single sordid act and word of this idiot?

I do not think he has done anything whatsoever that was good for the nation.  If you do fine, defend those ''acheivements'' but for the love of humanity and decency please admit that he is not what we should hold up as an example to our children or grandchildren and forcefully speak out against his stupid acts and words that you think are beyond the pale!!

... only the truth. It wasn't his idea. How do I know this? Pretty simple for folks with connected brain cells. Had he suggested it someone would have surelyi formed him it was named after Admiral John McCain Sr. Not his worthless, traitorous son.

Your simple minded hatred of Trump is growing very old!  Your dimokrap cohorts grasp at every single stupid issue to try to create a news item.  Get over it.  BTW, I happen to have known a POW who served with McCain in Hanoi.  This hero hated John McCain's guts....and this was decades ago.  McCain was a selfserving a$$hole...period.  Get over yourself.....

It's great that you were true patriots and voted for Obama rather than the traitor and a&&hole. FYI, until you walk in someones shoes it takes a rather weak minded person to denegrade them like the 2 of you have done to a true patriot...John McCain.

Funny how McCain's only "supporters" are liberal idiot dimokraps....  I'll stick with my friend's opinion of McCain which was developed under the most terrible conditions possible....not a liberal idiot's misguided Trump hater's BS...

Your simple minded hatred of anything and anybody that does not kiss Trump's fanny on a daily basis is getting old...especially your hatred of Barack Obama!

You, talking about someone else's posts getting old?  I think you may indeed be deranged.  The only reason I haven't invoked Iggy is that doing so blocks reasonable responses to your abject hatred posts on the President.  Admit it, DJT owns you.

On the surface and in a vacuum one might wonder whether certain statements or reactions are the best course of action.  But I lived among vastly different cultures, spending two years in Turkey and two and a half in Korea, as well as spending a lot of time in Italy.  I have been inside the room in Panmunjom where the accords were signed and actually stepped into North Korean territory inside that room, face to face with an armed North Korean guard on the other side of the window.  I and my family spent many hours with the Korean people, learning them and their culture.  We adopted our daughter in Seoul, in the process learning even more about the perople.  We learned among other things that Koreans are very much leader oriented.  We once attended the Yoido Full Gospel church, the largest in the world at the time, and found that none of the Koreans referred to it by its name.  Rather it is "Doctor Cho's Church".

OK, so you might utter "BFD" but the reason I bring it all up is that it might be easy to condemn our president for dealing with Kim using kid gloves, but my knowledge of their culture and the choices he faces make me believe there is a method to his, as you might say, madness.  I withhold condemnation for his methods as long as the little dictator doesn't start throwing nukes around.  Am I dismayed that Kim apparently executed those he held responsible for the summit failure.  But it allowed him to save face (in his eyes) by getting rid of the reasons for failure, and that is paramount in their culture.  We have learned over the years that differences between cultures do not result in one being right and the other wrong, but rather they are just that, different.  It is reality and that reality is what our Prisident is dealing with.

Wow, Mr. H, logic that the State Department deals with everyday, and responsibly passes onto the President and the rest of his administration for their consideration.  Archie's logic is nothing more than MSM propoganda and deserves little to no consideration.

The United States has no business trying to impose our principals on any other nation, but we for damn sure should never compromise our principals to try to influence the way another nation views us!  I assume that would include not offering either praise to or apologies for a brutal ''Leader'' even if he or she is ''loved'' by those they lead and whether or not nuclear weapons are part of the equation.  There is a difference in being available to ''talk'' and being willing to ''give up the farm'' just because a lunetic says nice things about you.

The easy way out is yours.  Condemn him for not knowing what he is doing.  Say he is a fool, a narcissist, and all other foul things.  But as Hound will most likely agree, there is so much more to international diplomacy than what appears on network television or ANY of the cable "news" channels.  I see no reason to fall for what is put out for public consumption but would rather watch to see what happens as a result.  Appearances are Trump extended an olive branch at the first summit and Kim responded with some minor returns and one big one, he stopped testing.  But Kim misread Trump and found out the hard way that he couldn't pull the double cross on Trump that he had pulled on others and go back to his old ways of demanding all for nothing in return.  Trump embarrassed the hell out of Kim by getting up and walking out on him, and as I said in another post Kim had to save face so he shot one or two and put the rest at hard labor, making it their fault and not his.  Might Trump have anticipated something like that would happen?  Maybe.  Would Kim possibly have come to the summit prepared to continue a give and take?  Worth a try.  Are we going to fail to go forward and possibly risk millions of incinerated Koreans (and others) because it might not work and there might be consequences that we find despicable?

Arch the world is not black and white and Trump is neither all good nor all bad.  But I question what you think you are going to accomplish with all your railing against him.  I said in another post that different cultures arent right or wrong, just different and I will say the same about the posters here.  Because someone doesn't agree with you that person isn't stupid, a moron, an imbecile, a Trumpista, or any of the convenient epithets you so freely dish out. I will continue to believe the way I do until logic and reason demands I believe otherwise, and you should give others the courtesy of stopping the name calling and lay out your reasonong for them to consume...then after they decide give them the respect to hold those opinions.

And yes, that last bit of advice should be heeded by everyone posting on this forum.

Your last two posts have been enlightening in providing how any "subject" may be viewed by the many varied cultures around the world. As individuals, we are privy to only a miuiscule amount of information on any given sublect and to think that our "view" must be accepted by all those involved is rediculous. What does it take for Architech to understand that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and they very rarely agree with him.
