Were there accidents during or after this year's show?  I for one have zero interest in being there for the show.  Plenty of people in our area put on a good show with a short boat ride.  But I had not heard of anything significant this year.  Just curious...

Bad idea to stop fireworks show. Many of us safe boaters look forward to it every year. Just take your time be safe and enjoy.

To many boats at night in one place.  Once the show is over its like the Gulf.  Not very safe.

Someone opined to me that they thought it was the worst boat mess they had every seen - and they had been going to the show all their lives.  I have no interest, because some of my neighbors put on a fine show that I can watch from my porch.

It is the same story every year.  If you think it worse this year than last and worse last year than the year before what are you basing tho opinions on?  It could be that it is something that you(the worse thinkers) are doing. I lived on the north end of the lake and looked forward to going to the fireworks each year.  I had many riders on my boats and never a incident all had fun without fear.  I went kinda early and stayed late. I stayed PARKED TO THE SIDE at the end till the traffic thinned out.  When one cranks up at the start of the last round to beat the crowd then you might be problem.  I know someone has to be first to leave but when one tries to beat the crowd then they might just be what starts the malee!!!

If you think the boat traffic is bad then you should be headed south on Hwy 63 from alex city. That is where it is scary!!

In fact, almost got hit there on Saturday, trying to make a turn off 63 onto Elkhatchee Rd.  Cars were flying.

Not worried about the roads  with masses of boats in one area at night is not good.

Tell me something rockey where do more deaths occur on the lakes of Alabama or the roads of Alabama?  Many are complacent with the fact our roads are so dangerous.  Complacent because they dont have any other way to travel and they dang sure aint gona walk so they just ignore it!  You be careful now , you hear.
