Does anyone have a recommendation for either a wireless security camera system or a wired system along with the name of someone who can install it? Thanks so much!

I have an Arlo system that works very well and requires no installer.  It does require WiFi but has motion detectors and records when it is triggered and notifies you by email or text.  The only pain is that the cameras use batteries that have to be replaced but they last a long time and can be purchased fairly cheap on Amazon.  You can access it to turn motion on and off via a website or apps on your iPhone or iPad.  Here are a couple of screen shots from mine.

Arlo Pro or Ultra? And, about how long do your batteries last?

I use Arlo pro. I have had batteries last 3-4 months depending on usage. They are rechargeable and you can monitor their strength with the app.

i bought extra batteries and a charger so I just swap them out when needed.

If you want to go low budget but high quality get 3 o 4 Wyze cams from Amazon. $25 each with 1080DH picture and motion detection. Even has "people dectection". Works great uses wifi. I have 3 performing flawlessly.

DItto for Arlo, I have the pro. It came with the base and 3 cameras. Of all the tech things I have ever installed in my life, Arlo is about the only one that was as easy as they said it was supposed to be. While it's true that you must have internet with wifi, I think it's a great choice. Easiily monitored, easily accessed. My batteries also lasted about 3 or 4 months before I had to recharge - but that will depend on your usage and settings. It came with an extra battery so really I just charged it, swapped, and repeated. Took about 30 minutes. Highly recommended!

Blink indoor/outdoor Cameras by Amazon. We have Arlo at our permenant house, and Blink at our Lakehouse. We just ordered the new Blink cameras to replace our Arlo cameras.. Right now you can get a three camera XT2 system for $160 during Prime Days. The new Blink cameras have two way audio. You can also grid the camera to block out areas you don’t want recorded.

I can highly recommend the Blink cameras as well.  They are small, weatherproof, great video and audio, good low light performance and very easy to set up.  No fees and will store tons of video clips in the cloud.  2 lithium AA batteries are supposed to last 2 years...I'm well into year 2 and batteries are still good and 4 cameras working flawlessly.  Excellent range too, one is over 100 feet from base/router on boathouse looking back at house and works fine.  I love them!
