Does anyone have a good method to keep spiders off your dock. I don't mind a few spiders to help with the flying insects but the amount of webs is ridiculous.
Thanks,

I’ll be anxiously waiting for some answers. Spiderwebs all over my dock and boat.

I'm in a constant battle with spiders. Since spiders come from the ground I've had good results spreading a granular insect mix around the base of my house. However, that won't help around a dock! Good luck. The garden spiders are out and it's a good form of entertainment to buy a few crickets and let the grandchildren toss them into the webs.

I have a friend who had a spider problem in his finished basement. Someone told him to put black walnuts around the basement and it would run the spiders out. He swears by it. I've never seen a spider there. He bought a bag of black walnuts in the shell. I only know about it because when I go over my little dog always finds one to chew on.
I am simply the messenger. I have no idea if works, how it works or why it might work. And it could be it works inside but not outside.

Please be very careful with walnuts or nuts of any kind around dogs, especially if the shell has mold on it...they are toxic to dogs (and horses too, I think). Walnuts and/or moldy shells can contain tremorgenic mycotoxins which can cause seizures, lethargy, tremors, hind weakness, and hyperthermia (a temperature greatly above normal).
Also, a big hairy eyeball to the person suggesting tossing crickets into spider webs for entertainment! For shame, hang your head! Hate to see anything suffer or fight for it's life...even an insect!
