So it appears that Comrade Bernie's unionized campaign staff were whining about getting below $15 per hour wages so the campaign has decided to pay them that amount.  But here's the kicker.....they simultaneoulsy announced they will have to reduce their hours so the campaign could afford the higher wages.  RFLMAO!!!  You cannot make this up if you were writing fictional satire about the abject stupidity of leftists.

So a logical person not ruled by emotion would say to themselves, "Hmmmm, maybe this idea of paying more per hour isn't going to mean that anyone gets paid more, they will just end up working less and getting the same or sometimes less money."  Naaahhhhhh!  They won't make that logical leap.......what the heck am I saying?!?!?

You are showing your narrow minded church school thought process. The details don't matter to you nor do the facts.

They are paid a salary, but like all good employees, they worked more than 40 hours per week. I haven't read that their salary is going to be reduced...just the hours. Still confused?

Do you send your salaried employees home when they reach 40 hours? Do you tell your salaried employees not to entertain clients if they have worked an 8 hour day? Do you give your employees time off if they travel to a client over the weekend so they can begin work with the client on Monday? The answer to all is NO. So, you are just reducing what they earn per hour. That's life in the real word.

"Sanders said field organizers, who are the lowest-ranking members of a presidential campaign and are typically in their 20s, make $36,000 a year with 100% employer-paid health care, as well as paid vacation and sick leave.

For a staffer working 40 hours a week, that comes out to about $17 an hour. But 40-hour workweeks on presidential campaigns are rare. Sanders said the campaign will limit the number of hours staffers work to 42 or 43 each week to ensure they're making the equivalent of $15 an hour."

No Goofy....you don't get my point in the least.  Employees want to be paid more for the work they do.  That Comrade Bernie's campaign reduced the number of hours they work to get them over $15 per hour means zip, zero, nada when it comes to their take home pay.  You know, the part that banks look at when they make loans.  The part that the landlord looks at when they determine if they can pay their rent.  The part that people use to buy food and pay for insurance.  None of that is changing for them which I can assure you is NOT what they were looking for with this public whining.

What the campaign has inadvertently admitted is that there is only so much money to go around.  So I pay you $36K for 42 hours of work or I can pay you $36K for more hours......doesn't matter because the amount the employees are being paid stays the same because that is all the employer can afford.  This is exactly what happens when you artificially raise wages.....something has to give.  You think these employees are going to suddenly be happy that they are still getting $36K per year just because they don't have to work as many hours?  I can assure you they were thinking I'll work the same number of hours and get more money cause I'm getting $15 per hour.  Wrong!

It's your govt school education that has failed Goofy.  Not mine.

If anybody had a massive failure it is the idiots who argued higher wages while salary.

But the funny part is it is going to still cost the Bern campaign more regardless of what they do, they are unionized and have structured their pay.  Now their hours have been reduced - Does anyone think that the workload is going to also decrease due to going from 60+ hours to less than 40?  Assuming everyone was being highly productive, to maintain that same level they are now going to have to hire 1 extra person for every two who is at that 15/hour level.

Yep.....I am quite sure they were thinking Comrade Bernie would raise their salary so they got their desired $15 per hour instead of simply reducing the number of hours they work to hit that magic number.  And hilariously, I assume that Bernie has limited funds available to pay for his staff.  So the reality is that if they work fewer hours it simply means that the work they were doing doesn't get done.  And that means it is even less likely they'll be feeling the Bern when someone else is the nominee.  How ironic it would be that when that happens Bernie blames his staff for not working hard enough for him to realize his socialist wet dream.  Either way he loses because as Bernie knows (and lies about constantly) is that there is only so much money to go around.  And his campaign staff ain't getting any more of it.  But hey, now they're getting $15 per hour so its all good, right?

What'll happen is what always happens - the full time employees will get $15 an hour, and will cut their hours, and then they'll add part time and volunteers that will not be subject to the $15.00 an hour.  You know, I don't really have a problem with campaign workers getting $15 an hour, rather than say, someone working at McDonalds.  Campaign workers have to actually know something and persuade people to vote for Bernie.  Also, think about it, a campaign is not a profit making organization and don't report to stockholders.  In the short term, under limited circumstances, socialism works just fine.  It just doesn't hold up in the long term.

The problem with socialism is that it cannot exist under limited circumstances.  It requires complete control to accomplish its goal of equal misery.  It couldn't even work inside a family.  Imagine you are working 60 hours a week and are making a lot of money and your brother-in-law sits at home playing video games all day.  But under socialism he gets his share of your income.  How long do you think that will last?  I doesn't work.  It has never worked.  It will never work.  Not under any circumstances.

Yeah, but your brother-in-law is happy.  Don't mix up socialism and communism.  In communism, everyone works for the greater good and everyone gets a share (in theory).  In socialism, big government controls everything - the rich get richer through corruption and the poor get poorer.  It's not the same thing.

Socialism's primary tenet is the ownership or control of the means of production and is primarily an economic system.  Can be done by actual ownership or some other form of govt control.  Communism is just a strain of socialism where there is one-party control and dissent is not allowed and is a political as well as economic ideology.  Communism also advocates a classless society with equal outcomes (misery) where socialism, because it is an economic system can exist in a society that has differences in outcome.  They are simply different degrees of the same failed ideology.  But at their core is govt control of the means of production and dissemination of the fruits of production.

That's why people that want to claim utopia's like Sweden or Norway are socialist countries is absolutely false.  These countries have capitalist economic systems with high social spending.  They are not socialist because the govt neither owns nor controls the means of production.
