More promises unkept. I hate deficits and saw this as the only bright light when Trump won. He promised but has failed.

Deficit Don? Red ink gushes in Trump era The president endorsed a bipartisan budget deal without any of the spending restraints previously demanded by Republicans.

By JOHN BRESNAHAN and BURGESS EVERETT Politico

President Donald Trump may have to hand out some new nicknames — for himself — after endorsing a bipartisan budget deal with Congress: “Trillion Dollar Trump?” “Deficit Don?”

With a new bipartisan budget deal that does nothing to cut federal spending, Trump is on track for another $1 trillion deficit this year. And there’s no reason to believe the following fiscal year will be any different, with ballooning deficits from higher spending, the 2017 tax cuts — Trump's signature legislative achievement, which slashed revenue — and none of the entitlement reforms long preached by Republican leaders on Capitol Hill.

Candidate Trump bragged that he would pay off the entire federal debt in eight years, but President Trump is governing as if deficits don't matter.

In fact, Trump is approaching the level of red ink from President Barack Obama’s first term, when Obama racked up trillion-dollar deficits four years in a row. Trump is on pace to do the same, starting with this year's yawning deficit of more than $1 trillion, according to budget estimates. But there are huge differences: Trump has a growing economy with historically low unemployment and a soaring stock market, while Obama was battling a brutal downturn in the economy during the worst recession in 80 years, making it much harder to curb federal spending.

I don't recall hearing a "peep" out of you when your pal Obama added 10 trillion dollars to the National Debt. President Trump has to have support from Demoncrats which you know he has received nothing but "obstruction" at every turn. Let's wait until he has finished his eight years as President and then you can evaluate his accomplishments at that time.

Of course he didn't.  He doesn't care about deficits.  I can assure you if Trump forced Congress to cut the Federal budget Goofy would be whining about all the people impacted by the cuts.  And if Trump refused to negotiate with the House to come up with a budget Goofy would be whining about a government shutdown.  He is a hypocrite and suffering from extreme TDS.

But more to the point, and yet another lesson in civics for the failed public school grad, it is Congress that first has to pass a budget.  And it starts in the House of Representatives although the Senate or POTUS can and do create their own budgets to try to frame the debate and establish their own priorities.  But at the end of the day, the House passes a budget and sends it to the Senate for reconciliation.  Assuming they can agree to a budget and both the House and Senate pass it then the President can either sign it, not sign it or veto it.

I would also point out that this deficit budget came about after Democrats took over control of the House.  So since they need both the House and the Senate to pass it Trump obviously had to negotiate with the Democrat controlled on a budget.  Schoolhouse Rock knows more about how our govt works than Goofy.  So no Goofy, this isn't "Trump's" budget....this is a budget developed by Democrats and Republicans.

Where is spending established?  I believe it is the Demonrat House that appropriates the money.  And as the Oblamer administration said for 8 years it is because of the previous administration.

His govt school failed him miserably and he continues to show that over and over.  Look below at his response to Bernie's labor woes.

Sure is fun to watch how deplorables try to justify Deficit Don's agreeing to deficit spending. Obama used deficit spending to get us out of the recession. Trump has no excuse except his tax cut for the rich. If economy is so great, we shoud be reducing the deficit just as Clinton did. That's Economic 101.

This is what happens when you spend all your time on left wing nut websites.  It wasn't the Clinton surpluses for the same reasons I outlined above.  Clinton acceded to the GOP Congress with these budgets in exchange for tax increases.  Said tax increases created a short-term surplus but also caused a contraction in the economy that likely cost Algore the WH.  Even Slick Willie acknowledged that he raised taxes too much which tanked the economy.  Schoolhouse Rock and a little history Goofy.....learn some civics and go back and see whose budget resulted in reduced spending.......oh wait, I mean a reduction in the increased spending given the phony baseline budgeting.

I always like it when some idiot left wing nut flags the truth as inappropriate.  It does hurt doesn't it?  The truth I mean.  If I believed what you believed I too would flag something so true as being inappropriate.
