Even cnnBS is picking up on what a disaster this is so far.  Their headline is "Republicans pick apart Mueller". Chris Wallace....no fan of Trump, has called this a disaster for Democrats and Mueller's reputation.

I now understand why he didn't want to testify.  He even claimed he's never heard of Fusion GPS, which is utterly inconceivable and frankly has to be a lie.  Jim Jordan tore him a new one about their selective prosecution of people who lied to the FBI and pointing out that Mfisud lied to them three times as stated in the report and yet was never charged.  However, my favorite line from his testimony was "The investigation did not establish that members of the Trump campaign conspired with the Russian government in its election interference activities.”  In a sane world the hearing would have ended there.......but when you suffer from TDS no such luck. 

So far this has been an utter disaster for the Democrats and is going to help Trump bigly in 2020.  Mueller was a figurehead and a partisan hack more interested in protecting Comey and other deep state actors in DOJ than really getting to the bottom of this hoax.

Muleer was asked if his investigation was impeded in any way.  Answer.....no.  Second time the hearing should have ended.  If Trump obstructed he was apparently pretty lousy at it.  He could have asserted Exec Privilege but did not.  Ya wanna know why?  He was innocent!!  Chuck Todd is in mourning right now and lamenting how badly this is going.

Rep. (Judge) Ratliffe was a breath of fresh air.  It was not the directive given to him  to prove Trump's innocence.   Innocent until proven guilty is the bedrock of our judicial system.  He essentially said the entire second volume was rubbish.  WOW!!

I am not sure anyone would ever want to willingly sit in front of a congressional hearing ( unless they are there as witnesses and even then probably not when questions start getting asked instead of "your so brave, we should give you a purple heart, would you like a foot massage while we spew word salad....")

No kidding....he is literally dashing the hopes of the left and trashing his own reputation in the meantime.  As sorry a spectacle as I've seen in a while.  And did you hear he had to recant his earlier statement about why they didn't indict?  That was literally the only bright spot for the left and it didn't last two hours.  Of course he had to recant because it was a lie.  And there are a long list of people, including Rosenstein who would rebut that statement.  He had no choice but to fix it.  Whether the fix gets nearly the press as the earlier misstatement is not even a question.....it will not.

You know, I really hope that particular reading of those comments makes Trump reflect that he needs to be a little more guarded in what he says publicly.  During the campaign, Wikileakes was a blessing to the Trump campaign for it exposed Hilary for what she really is (not that her base believed it), but in the read back, 3 years later, it doesn't look good on Trump to be praising a hacker.  

After watching most of it (Alabama power had our power off (and it affected cable), I really just think it was another waste of time.  Mueller is not a lawyer for nothing, and he knew he had to stick to his report.  The only ones that think they won something is the Democcrats, but everyone else saw it for what it was.

I can't remember the details, but there was something that came up that Mueller said should be further investigated. You know the Dems love a good investigation.  They are still searching for the magic bullet.  It really puts Peolsi on the hot seat, because some in her party will be pushing her hard for impeachment again.  But there will be some that see it as a "win".

We can circle back in about 5 years and see if they actually change him.  It will be intersting once the Barr tab is looked into how much you desire to have him prosecuted after he leaves office will come to light - I have a feeling that things will be different in an actual court, with due process vs the one sided Mueller report and the fact that lots of things were not looked into.  Also Trump himself can open up discovery and have lots of documents produced and backed up by the court regarding how we got to where we are.

As with Harry Reids nuclear option - you may crow about the fact that Yes he can be "charged" after leaving office, but to get the conviction you have different hurdles.  While it is  possible to do - It may not work out the way you desire - much like Mueller.

And then you will also have the whole lets charge the outgoing/incoming administation with crimes - which will open itself to political revenge, much like what we are seeing from the Obama/Loser Clinton administration currently.

Maybe you will get your wish - but dont count on it turning out the way you hope.
