It is too dang dangerous and they know it.  Besides, where is the political gain to be had?  All the white candidates will be accused of racism if they take this issue on.  All the black candidates could care less about these hundreds of deaths every year in Chicago.  They know they will get their votes regardless.  And Kamala Harris is afraid to go there because it will leave an opening for the others to hammer her for her time as AG in California (not the time she was under Willie Brown.....the time she was sending people to prison).
