Not good news for sure.  My older brother died of pancreatic cancer and it is wicked bad because you only have symptoms after it has metasticized.  I have personally known 3 people with it and none lived longer than six months after diagnosis.  As much as I would like to see her replaced by an originalist, I am actually hoping she outlives the Trump administration because as bad as the Kavanaugh hearings went, it will be mild compared to replacing her.  Hopefully they got it before it spread because it is an awful way to go and not something I would wish on my worst enemy.

Never saw anything like it with my brother.  Big hulking guy complaining about digestive problems.  After a couple of months he went to the doctor who did a CT scan and found the tumor on his pancreas.  Visited him two months later and he had lost 100 pounds and was gone within two days after I left.  It is just a bad way to go and I honestly hope they found hers early enough.

It is nasty, no two ways about it.  Know 3 people who have had it.  4-6 months, no warning - my father was having acid reflux, one day he woke up with black streaks in his legs - had already migrated to the liver - few rounds of chemo and he said that was enough of that.

She received radiation at Memorial Sloan Kettering.  Plus stent.  Guess who donated 150 Million in 2015 for an out-patient center there?  Non other than David Koch, he who was mocked by the left and wished to have suffered a slow, painful death from prostate cancer.  It is conduct like this from the libs (sorry Doe, this again may sound like my "projection of an imagined monolithic mindset") that enrages many individuals on the right for the lack of basic decency.  You will never hear me advocating for RBG's demise.  She has fought a very courageous battle, an example for all of us, even though I don't agree with her politics.

I did not know of this until recently by a friend with brain cancer, a person has a lifetime limit as to radiation therapy.  Wish her the best in her battle with this unforgiving disease.  

Alex the jeopardy mc is beating this with the millions of fans praying for his recovery.  Don’t guess that probably not possible with her.  I will include her in my prayers nonetheless.  

Like Axel Rose said, no one gets out of this life alive!

I don't know anyone that had pancreatic cancer, but it seems pretty nasty.  I think the best she can hope for is remission for a time, like Alex Trebek on Jepordy.  She is an elderly woman and frail, so that doesn't bode well for her long term survival.  But they say that she is a real workaholic and will likely work until she takes her last breath.  

The best that Trump could do to replace her is find a centerist - not too liberal and not too conservative.  The Kavanaugh hearings were awful.  I don't think they should load up the court with one or the other persuasion.

I'm not sure there is any such thing but my view is he should find an originalist.  There are a number of older justices that will likely be replaced by a Democrat President and I can assure you they will not go for a centrist.  Elections have consequences and if Trump can get an originalist through the Senate he should do so.  If the American people don't like SCOTUS ruling based on how they are supposed to rule then they can elect a Democrat President and hand over control of the Senate to the Democrats.

And I can assure you a centrist will not be handled any gentler than an originalist.  It will be a blood bath either way because the left has to control the courts to accomplish through litigation what they have never been able to accomplish via legislation.  If it is going to be ugly, and it most certainly will, at least make it worth the vote of people who put him in office along with a majority of Republicans in the Senate.

They do have to be confirmed, so they do have to appear before the Committee.  But it doesn't have to be televised.  The whole process has become a show and that is what the Congress seems to like.
