Comey sure comes off looking like a very bad actor in the mini-report about just him.  Just so you know how bad Comey thought it was going to be he is actually claiming victory because he wasn't indicted.  Simply amazing that a 80 plus page report directed right at him that excoriates his behavior and documents all his misdeeds and violations of policy that it is a victory for him because he isn't going to jail.  It also gives you some insight into his character that he has such a low opinion of himself that an entire report demonstrating what an awful thing he did is considered by him to be a victory.  Wow......

Also, just a reminder that it is not over as the IG report is due on the FISA stuff which could be different in terms of indictments.  We shall see but I have to admit I am not in any way convinced that anything will come from that one or the SP investigation.  Time will tell.

We already knew that DOJ declined to prosecute on this particular issue.  I suppose there is still the IG report on FISA and Durham's investigation.  I have little optimism that anything will come of any of these investigations but you never know.  Hoping for equal justice for govt employees is not exactly a position supported by reality.

Maybe it will finally shut him down, but I doubt it.  This will give him new life on the the talking head circuit, so he can explain why none of this is true or that there are extinuating circumstances.  Having been more than a few IG investigations (for 4 years, our agency was host to so many, it was like they had taken up permanent residence), there is usually a draft of the report issued to the subject of the investigation to correct things that are factually incorrect.  And surprisingly, there are usually things wrong.  The people that do the investigating are not subject matter experts, so they do make mistakes.  I'm no fan of Comey though, so if this report shuts him up, good on it!
