Trump has so far played golf 212 times while in office. Obama Played 333 Rounds of Golf in 8 Years. Obama played 3.5 times per month and Trump 6.4.

Given that the most important job is also the most stressful, I think any President should have the right to play golf or basketball or anything else that gives them relaxation.  No matter where they are in the world, they are still plugged in.  So to the bean counters that are constantly counting this or that as if it matters, it doesn't.  And as FlyFisher correctly points out, many a deal is cemented after play.  I discount most of what candidates say during the campaign - they have no realistic idea what the job will be like and the pressure that they will face until they sit behind the desk.  I'm sure Trump thought it would be like running a multi-national company, which he did for decades.

in trips to the links.  Of course, as many have made clear over the last 10 years on this forum, when Trump plays golf it is because he is working so hard he deserves the physical and mental(LOL) break, when Obama did it it was illustrative that he had no interest in working at all and had no scruples about wasting the tax payer's money!
