 To be absolutely clear, however, apart from their being partial homonyms, the proper name Trump, which is a simplification of Drumpf, a surname of German origin, is not linguistically related to trumpery, the root of which is French, and originally meant “to deceive.” The Merriam-Webster web site explains:

Not to put too fine a point on it, but anyone who tries to convince you that there is anything deeper than a rhetorical connection between Trump, trump up, and trumpery is engaging in a boldfaced example of the latter. Feel free to call them on it.

So Snopes/Merriam-Webster indcates that you are a boldfaced exampled of trumpery.  Does it feel good to be bashed by Snopes?

rather than actually lies, but since he is completely incapable of ever admitting to anything less than complete intellectual perfection he feels he has to make up lies to explain every innocent overstatement.

Example:  Trump mistakenly says that Hurricane Dorian is a threat to Alabama.  Rather than simply saying he mispoke he goes on TV today with a cartoonishly altered illustration of the projected path from Aug 29 and says that at the time the NHC said there was a 95% chance the storm would cross into the Gulf and become a threat to Alabama.  NHC did not make a statement giving the 95% figure and in fact never issued any warning that Alabama might be threatened!  Folks lying about paying off a hooker is not good but lying about a hurricane could be downright dangerous!

Of course I guess much of this forum, being typical of this guys's base, is holed up somewhere sheltering form the approaching storm and not seeing the post LOL!

OH, BTW...I see that Trump is diverting 3.6 billion from the military to build his freaking wall.  Unless the diversion is from the Mexican army, it is illustrative of yet another of his lies!

Considering that I do watch hurricane models since I have several people I know who live on various coastal waters from GA(and was looking at the possibility of housing inlaws from the GA coast due to evacuations) and friends from the Carolinas around to the gulf coast around to mobile - I do watch the models when they start to form - and many of the earlier models showed it crossing across Florida and passing between Montgomery and Birmingham.  Just because you were late to the party does not mean that the data did not support it, before the steering currents showed it moving up the coast and staying mostly offshore.

I am suprised you have not said that Trump actually caused the Hurricane yet, but then again most of what you post is just insanity pouring out through your hatred.

showed Dorian crossing the FL peninsula into the gulf. By the time Trump made his idiotic statement about Dorian's path these models were no longer even being considered.  At no time during the entire process did NHC. NOAA or NWS forecast this was even considered likely let alone say it was a 95% possibility...period!  Face it, Trump is a BS artist who insists, when caught and called on his BS, on explaining and defending his BS with outright lies.  You can apologize, rationalize and eulogize til the cows come home, but that doesn't pardon him nor make him any less an egomanical idiot!

there's no disagreement that the statements of #45's in the OP are lies. There are, of course, the ad hominem (look it up) attacks by one of the regulars, but even he has made no effort to refute anything in the OP. So, phil, from your responses here, it is clear that you agree with the OP but just have some unadressed mental health issues you can't manage to keep to yourself.

Archie, personally if I needed acute hurricane info, I would check the NHC website once every 8 or so hours, read the forecasters comments, read a little discussion and go on about my business.  I doubt people rely on the POTUS's forecast abilities, and if they do, they must be Dems.  Non story.
