So everyone is up in arms about the fact that Trump planned to meet with the Taliban at Camp David this past weekend.  "Right before 9/11" and "CAMP DAVID!!!". 

If Trump had been able to pull it off and get some kind of peace agreement between the appointed govenment in Afghanistan and the Taliban, people would have been singing his praises and we would see our troops come home.  But it didn't go that way, so now Trump is a horrible person for even trying it.  And at Camp David - has everyone forgotten that Carter forged a peace agreement between Israel and Egypt at Camp David????  I suspect there have been many secret meetings over the decades at Camp David, but because they don't know about them, the media can't criticize.  Sometimes we are forced to negotiate with people that we don't agree with to obtain the desired outcome.  Does anyone remember that MLK said "eyes on the prize"?  Timing for these things isn't always of our choosing.  When Trump saw that the Taliban coudn't keep their word, he cancelled the meeting and spoke about it publically.  Mike Pompao said that the deal had been in the works for months.  

It's pitiful that the media can't even give credit to Trump when he is trying something radical to end the war.  Now we'll probably end up increasing troop strength again.  As far as the military member who was shipped home to Dover, I believe he would have praised Trump for trying.

media/liberals (again I know all the same) would not praise Trump if he personally found the cure to cancer.  They would complain about Drs being out of work and he was attempting to shut down medical centers since they were no longer profitable.

Maybe, if Trunp woukd quit tweeting constantly abouth the "fake press" they would be "nicer and gentler to him". He just encourages them to try and "nail" him everytime they can. He needs to stop pulling press passes to the White House when he doesn't  like what they ask or report. The Taliban doesn't understand free press and I fear neither does Trump.

As to the visit, I  have no problem.

I think for the most part 99% of the media is exposing themselves as the BS peddlers they are.

I can only imagine what 4 more under DJT is going to do to these clowns.
