Really strange that all of a sudden the Dems are preaching adherence to the Constitution as written.  They want judges who will legislate from the bench, yet at the same time they want the President to be held to the letter of the Constitution.  What a bunch of hypocrites.

The last person that should want this is Joe Biden because it is going to embroil both him and his son Hunter.  Some salient facts have come to light that will be interesting to explore.  One, Hunter Biden, after flying on AF2 to China secures a $1.5B investment from China for his fund despite having zero expertise in China or a knowledge of the language. Two, Hunter was paid $50K per month for 5 years (almost $3M) to be a director on a Ukranian oil company despite having zero oil and gas experience or understanding of Ukraine or Russia.  Now I understand why people go into politics.  They can be complete losers, addicted to drugs, a philanderer and so on and as long as your Dad is VP you can make millions.  Will also shine some light on Biden's bragging to the CFR that he threatened to withhold $1B in loan guarantees to Ukraine until the fired a prosecutor investigating his son's company and lo and behold within hours of the threat the guy was fired and the investigation ended.

And yet here we are, Democrats open impeachment over a whistleblower report based on heresay and not first hand knowledge that they have not seen about a conversation that they have not seen the transcript of the call.  These are amazing times........  Time will tell if Trump releases the transcript although I don't see how he can't given the circumstances.  Not a good precendent that any foreign leader will now have to worry about a private conversation with POTUS becoming public in the U.S.  This will hamstring future Presidents of either party but as we saw with the Democrats and the nuclear option on judges, they have little ability to overcome the emotion of the moment in light of the future ramifications.  When you suffer from TDS it makes you do all sorts of destructive things.

Just as with any good demonrat that will explain that it mattered then but the circumstances are different this time(basically because the little letter beside their name changed from a R to a D)

I think as this will probably go about as far as the first 400 impeachment attempts that they attempted.  They are for once showing who they are and what they really stand for, if they pull this off they will see a wave of R voters never before seen, and if they dont chances are high that D voters will sit home as they will not be able to believe that after all this that they were not able to get rid of him.

There are only two factors probably leading to these proceedings. 

1. RBG will probably not make it 5 years and will have to be replaced

2. I believe that they have already figured out they will not be able to beat him through elections and are doing this as a last ditch effort to keep the 2nd term from happening.

You are probably right.  They see Biden fading and Warren surging and they know how Independents are going to respond to her ideas, especially about taking away their IRAs and 401k's.  This is probably a last ditch effort.

Read a theory that they are trying to distract from the pending IG report on FISA abuse and even more importantly, the work of Durham which can lead to indictments.  If true, that would explain this rush to impeachment absent literally any facts other than a news article.  Also turns out that the IG has reported that the so-called whistleblower is a partisan hack that favors another candidate.  Also, reports are coming out that the whistleblower statute doesn't apply here because POTUS is not a member of the intelligence community.  Without those protections the so-called whistleblower may be in legal jeopardy, which explains why the Clinton/Obama lawyer being hired.  This quite literally may blow up in their faces bigly with much more Trump winning.

So Antifatech - above is the link to where I am going to pull just a few things from in regards to following the constitution.  You indicate you want a president to follow it to the letter, but how about the speak of the house?

The only problem here is that an “official impeachment inquiry” has no meaning under the constitution and the law. Pelosi knows that, which is why she used those specific words, and made no reference to mounting a formal impeachment inquiry via a vote of the full House, which would have some meaning under the law.

See, the speaker of the house has no power whatsoever to unilaterally declare a formal impeachment inquiry. None. Doing that requires a majority vote of the entire body of the House. That would mean San Fran Nan would have to somehow cobble together 217 actual, recorded “yes” votes on the floor of the House.

Given that the Democrats currently control 235 seats to 198 (2 seats are vacant) for the Republicans, one might think getting to a simple majority would be an easy task for the doddering, stammering Speaker. But one would be surprised for holding that thought.

Pelosi’s big problem in all of this is that she has 35 or so members who managed to steal districts in the 2018 elections normally held by Republicans. Few if any of those folks, who would like to get re-elected in those same districts next year and been working hard to fool their constituents into believing they are “moderates,” are willing to go on the record as formally supporting a formal impeachment inquiry targeting a Republican president when there are no real grounds for going down that radical road.

So, just as with everything else she and her fellow Democrats do, yesterday’s theatrics by Pelosi were just that: Theater. Dishonest theater. Nothing real will change – those committees will just keep doing what they’ve been doing all year.

The Democrats are very desperate here, because their mass brainwashing efforts keep failing. As of yesterday, President Trump’s public approval rating in the Rasmussen survey stood at 53%, a two-year high and fully 6 points higher than the rating received by Barack Hussein Obama at the same point in his presidency 8 years ago. Trump’s standing in the RealClearPolitics average, which includes all the fake polls created by media outlets purely to drive fake news stories, stands at 45.1%, also a two-year high.

So with all this talk of impeachment Trump is polling higher then any point in two years in multiple polls(and no I still do not care much for polls, but it is funny that it is showing that DJT is polling higher the Oblamer at this point in his presidency - Hope you enjoy PDJTs 2nd term, its going to be a long 5 years.
