I have heard, second hand, that a new resort is coming to the lake. Supposedly it will include a hotel, golf course, and other ammenaties and will be located somewhere close to Russell Crossraods.  I fact the story is that Cathrines will become part of the resort and that Russell lands is divesting itself of all interests other than real estate and marina operations.  

As stated I got this second hand but the original source is definately somone who would be in the know about such matters.  I wish I had been privy to the conversation because I have many questions I would like answered.  Does anyone have any ingo they can share abuot this?  Inquiring minds need to know.

This wouldn't surprise me at all.  Alex City has been talking about tourism on the lake and how they will benefit from it - and the only way that I can see that they will realize it is if a large resort were built.  Just think of a lake full of tourists.  It'll be time to move.

I have said every time I heard AC's future is tourism is where the hell are they supposed to stay?  I guess now we are finding our where they will stay.  I wish I had more info.

This summer the folks that run Bay Pines Marina told us  that the resort would be located between Wicker"s Point and Hogs Pen slough

Someone has cut a lot of timber on that slough just south of Wicker Pt.
