Yet another reason to vote for Trump early and often.  Uh James, might I suggest a country with no extradition treaty with the U.S.  That would be a far better choice than New Zealand.....who I seriously doubt would be all that thrilled to have you.  But more to the point, how are you going to get there when you have to surrender your passport after you're indicted?

How many people said that last time and they are still here!  Wonder if Archie said that three years ago?

Wil convert mine into powder, bullets and primers and lead shot and some new molds for my muzzle loader so that when the new vision for America starts I can be ready for it to collapse.

Never comtemplated leaving during Obama's eight year reign of error.  Unlike whiny leftists we don't take our ball and go home just because we don't like the President.  We actually understand that they come and go, some want to make America great and keep it that way and some are big government socialists that screw everything up.  But they are only there for 4 or 8 years and then we move on.

I always wondered how you could buy a loaf of bread with a gold bar. However if things get really tough, I'll trade you a box of .38s for a bag of groceries. I heard that during the Rodney King episode a single barreled 12 ga and a box of shells went for a grand!

He needs to check and see what the NZ immigration requires.  The reason that all those fools did not emigrate to Canada as promised was because they didn't fit the Canadian immigration requirements.  How will Comey support himself when no body cares about what he is selling?

Remember those prices well.  Also remember AR-15s after the Clinton ban that were up around $2k.

That gold bar/coin will be worth squat when the schift hits the fan because it *used* to be worth something.

Only thing that will be worth anything is fuel/oil/food/guns/ammo - with the last two you can get the rest if you have to.

a 60 inch TV, cellphone, gold coin or paper money, stocks etc will be worth zero.  You can not eat it, you can try to barter or trade - but who would trade home grown corn for a useless trinket or paper.

I guess you could melt the gold down and cast bullets - but when you can pry lead weights off a car for much less hassle and a lower melting point.  Of course there are recommendations of lead hardness so that you can keep from wearing out your barrels - but in a time of crisis you do what is needed.  If needed my lead scuba weights can be melted down quickly and cast - probably around 100 lbs worth.

In terms of 38 got plenty, and lead molds for both wadcutter and regular rounds between that the muzzle loaders for most hunting when it hits the fan.  Been picking up brass at gun ranges for a long time, even for stuff I do not have and trade with some friends who do.

Crazy reading your readiness post.  That thinking is prohibited under PEE-losi’s rule.  You have to wait and beg for all services...

I like guns, ammo depending on the round can get expensive.  When you can buy ammo at $4-5+ dollars a round but can reload for under  a dollar it just make sense.  Many pistols / rifles can use the same powder and supplies other then the bullet and contribute to a cost savings.

Be prepared was the Boy Scout motto, I am sure these days it is probably more aligned with trying to figure out what restroom to go into and less about things that could help when the grocery stores close due to a natural disaster or just unrest. Knowing how to grow food and hunt or fish is a way of life that is sadly dying off and when the schift hits the fan those who do not know how to get what they need to eat will resort to looting and riots and eventually people will start eating each other.
