I don't know if it is just on Coosa 20, but Paige Patterson the realtor has put up a large, obnoxious sign advertising her services.(t's as least as big as the Parker Creek Water signs)  She has tacked a "private property" onto the frame.  She must be really hard up for business to have to erect these huge signs.  There was one on 259, but no doubt someone got rid of it.  I would not do business with this woman, just because she is trashing up our roads with these huge signs.  It's even worse than all those small business signs that people attach to trees and telephone poles.

I know Paige is an outstanding person and realtor.  Not that other realtors in the area are not great people.  Paige loves people but most importantly truly loves Lake Martin and the area.  She never has a bad word to say about anyone and devotes alot of her time and money into promoting our Lake and keeping it clean and does it with a monetary benefit.  I am sure she was not intending to make anything look bad.  Unfortunatley, those realtors are like many other professions and have to make a living by advertising.  I would be for certain her number is on the sign, you should give her a call.  I know she would be happy to discuss your concerns and you would enjoy speaking with her as well  Paige and her husband are good people.

I'm not making a judgement on her character, but I am making a comment on her obnoxiously huge sign.  No other realtor in this area has erected such a sign - I've seen a few on billboards at different time, but no one else seems to need to advertise with huge signs.  I personally think word of mouth is the best advertisement.

I am sure not the subject matter expert for marketing methods needed for real estate professionals.  Additioanlly, I have not observed the sign or measured its size.   I do know alot of good realtors around the lake and they all advertise in some way through visual displays and unfortunaltey they can't soley rely on word of mouth in a competeive market.  I know Mrs. Patterson stays exteremly busy as she is highly sought after by those wishing to buy or sell around the lake.  I am certain her successes, and well known integrity have brought her much of her business by word of mouth.  I agree that word of mouth would no doubt be great for all forms of advertising including political ads to lessen signs on ROW.  The only people against that would be the sign makers, ha!!
