That little weak-a$$ed attempt at covering his butt is beyond laughable.  Anyone who would vote for him after that as a "maybe he will beat Trump" sentiment is desperate beyond belief.

Realistically, who is going to tell the VP that?  If you suspend logic and reason, you might believe that Biden's son is an adult civilian and that his career choices should stand on their own.  But then when you watch the video of Biden bragging about turning off the corruption investigation and the fact that his son has absolutely no credentials (except his old man being VP) that anyone would pay him $50K a month.  It's hard to buy that he and dear old Dad never discussed nothin'.   My theory is that Biden thinks of himself as a good guy and has an association Obama that he thinks will get him elected.  He is counting on an endorsement from Obama.  He doesn't think this matters.

One would think Trump was a goody boy when he ran....reading your posts. Hodja voted for Trump but has difficulty understanding how anyone could vote for Biden. The right supports a candidate with major character flaws and could care less. I except that since the political morals of the right have disapeared since Trump was elected.

This is the primary season. They have choices. I did not vote for Trump in the Republican primary, so your insinuation is baseless. If Biden is the nominee I strongly suspect there will be a run on clothes pins among the Dem faithful.

While this would be sad if true, we know it's not true at all.  There are pictures of him golfing with his son and Burisma execs.  I have some ocean-front property in Arizona if you are stupid enough to believe that they didn't take advantage of the face time with VPOTUS to get his help.  And we also know that back in 2008 he asked his son to stop lobbying because of the conflict of interest (see ABC News article).  And we also know that in 2015 Biden was warned by Amos Hochstein and George Kent, both members of the Obama admin, about the confilct of interest.  He ignored them obviously.

But let's assume the worst, he wasn't warned.  That is either corruption, incompetence or more likely both.  Any way you look at it, his denial falls flat and is an obvious lie.  And if you believe Guiliaini, which I don't recommend, he has all sorts of information about their corruption.  Whether it's true and sees the light of day remains to be seen.

And let me preempt Goofy with his whataboutism, like Hodja I did not vote for Trump in the primary and only had him above one other candidate.  But when faced with him as the nominee against Hillary it was the easiest decision of my life and I would do it again a thousand times over.  Hillary is corrupt, Biden is corrupt and neither of them would ever in a million years get my vote....not that I think it will come to that.  But you never know when you look at who Democrats nominate.

Nope, they will vote for Hilter himself if he ran as a D against Trump.

According to Hilary, many, many people are just begging her to run and she's not ruling it out.  (I do not believe this, BTW.  Her ship has sailed, but she doesn't realize she's left the port).

I still look for the top Democrat, whoever it turns out to be, is going to try to pull Michelle Obama, out of the hat as a VP.  (I personally can't stand the woman, but she is further to the left than her husband and she is black (which would appease the diversity crowd) and a woman.  The left loves her.

I read something interesting, but I have no idea if it is true.  If Trump were to actually be removed from Office (which we know isn't going to happen), it is not definite that Pence would step in, but someone like Nicky Haily could.  And even democrats know she would be a much harder candidate to beat than Pence.  (although Pence may prove more popular than the democrats think.

I believe Michelle is going to come into play somewhere along the way.

Would Biden's son be able to accompany him on his visits to foreign governments on government aircraft even though his son would not have any "official" reason to be on board the aircraft?

Was it ok for his kids to travel abroad?  The answer is yes but not for personal gain like Hunter did to get monthly payments or investments into hedge fund.

if we had a working Congress it would pass clear rules for all future candidates.  Not holding my breath.

Depends.

I have a friend who is a high ranking Air Force General and often his wife accompanies him when her presence would help further the mission (e.g., meeting with other wives, participating in ceremonies).  When she does go on military aircraft they reimburse the Air Force for the cost of an equivalent coach class commercial aircraft flight to that location.

So if Biden wanted his son along for some official or quasi-official reasen they probably could do the same.  The Special Air Mission (SAM) flights are Air Force owned and operated and I would think the VP qualifies to have tag-alongs.

I think having non-government personnel like family members along on trips is pretty standard stuff.  Not saying it's right, but it does happen.  Not sure if they have to reimburse or not but even if they did it's pennies on the dollar compared to the cost of each seat.  I don't care about them warming a seat.  I do care about the corruption though.

Those reimbursements are going to be small potatoes to the childsupport he has to pay up and want to see his income statements when he was making more per month then many do per year - and he is how claming he is unemployed and does not have anything after his divorce.

My friend was on travel over 260 days in one calendar year alone.  Sometimes his wife would go along just for companionship and help him keep from going crazy.  Again, she paid the price of an equivalent coach aircraft ticket when she rode along with him.

Family members or other people can ride along, but they are supposed to reimburse the government for the cost of the seat.  This would be on specially scheduled flights using military aircraft (like AF 1 or AF 2, or a General's plane).  Back in the day, the Commander SOCOM sent his plane for us Washingtonites to attend a conference and the cost of a seat was reimbursed.

And generally speaking I don't have an issue with that as long as it promotes the mission and isn't gratuitous or an unnecessary distraction.  What would bother me is if mission critical personnel are bumped to accomodate family members or additional costs are incurred that are not reimbursed.  At times when I go on a business trip my wife comes along.  I personally pay for her airfare and meals.

Well if it is an official trip, the people on the other end usually have events scheduled for her so she is kept busy.  I don't have any problem with it either.  The only people I've seen kicked off a flight to make room was reporters and they bitched about it.

Oh yeah, I would relish the idea of kicking reporters off a flight.  I'd bring my wife, kids, parents, aunts and uncles if it meant I could kick some govt media hack off the flight.......but that's just me.

Only if it is mid flight......
