The Post can sometimes really capture the Zeitgiest of the day.  Time will tell how this all plays out but I suspect it will not end well for Democrats.  Sadly, they live in fear of being primaried by the resistance, Antifa socialists that dominate their base so they do all sorts of really dumb things.  There is a reason the left wing nuts that frequent this forum are quiet.  They know in their heart of hearts how this is going to end up and have gotten weary of hearing us say, "We told you so."  We told you so about Obamadon'tcare....but ya didn't listen.  We told you so about Trump winning.....but ya didn't listen.  We told you so about the nuclear option.....but ya didn't listen.  Now we are telling you this is a stupid move.....but ya won't listen because of your abject hatred of Trump and those that voted for him.  And that is the difference.  I don't hate anyone that voted for Hillary in 2016......I just think you were wrong.....and it turns out I was right because AMERICA IS GREAT AGAIN!!!!  And with impeachment it looks like we got another four years of winning.

Speaking of Obama dont care, court ruled mandate unconstitutional - and wants its severability to be re-examined so as not to chuck the whole mess out.

Yeah, I don't get that.  It's pretty clear in the law and with legal precedent that if you have a law or a contract or any legal document that lacks severability language, if one aspect is deemed invalid then the whole law gets tossed.  But like we knew from the outset, once you have a government program it quickly becomes an entitlement.  I suspect the GOP controlled Senate has no appetite to have to replace the law, even if it is better as it will still be a mess.  Right now they can lay the blame on Democrats entirely.
