You're making me feel old with this news as I grew up on Monty Python and use Holy Grail and Life of Brian lines far too often.  Sadly we are seeing many of those we grew up watching and listening to their music pass on.  As they say (whoever "they" are), no one gets out of here alive.  He as a funny, funny man and a comedic genius as are all the Monty Python cast members.

Glad to know I am in good company of those who have quoted the lines far too often.

Ni!

They became the Knights who say, "Ecky-ecky-ecky-ecky-pikang-zoom-boing-mumble-mumble".  Now just stop "it"!

and weren't offended by everything.  I remember when "Life of Brian" was controversial.

Humor is one thing, and I love humor, but the Monty Python movie Life of Brian was anything but hunerous.  It is probably one of the most sacrilegious movies ever made, and there have been plenty of those.  Just not a big fan, I guess.

Yes, I remember those arguments being made.

I saw it and I didn't view it that way.  It didn't change my religious views.

I agree that Life of Brian was sacreligious and I cringed a number of times.  But there were some memorable and funny lines.  No doubt Monty Python could not exist today in the current PC environment.

It is not so much an argument as it is an opinion, I guess.  I saw the movie back in the day and even back in my rebellious youth, I didn't see how a tasteless parody of the crucifixion could be viewed as either entertaining or funny.  To me, there are some lines you don't cross and that is one of them.  Having said that, I certainly understand that others may disagree with me on this which is their right and one that I respect.
